According to the Mirror, a Hollywood film master will plan to shoot a winning documentary for Leicester City and their pawn striker Vardy, who have just won the FA Cup.
Adrian Butchart, a British screenwriter currently based in Los Angeles, wrote the screenplay for the first two films in the Goals trilogy and is currently working on another football-themed film. He had already had conversations with Vardy about the player's inspiring rise to fame, and now the FA Cup triumph adds some legendary touches to the story.
Butchart said the outbreak of covid-19 had to delay the creation of the film, but Leicester City's victory in the FA Cup could enrich the plot of the film. In an interview with the Mirror, Butchart said:
"We've been following Jamie (Valdi) in the FA Cup and now he's achieved a record-breaking achievement. We knew Jamie would be one of the best players in the world, and his continued success on the pitch was a huge inspiration for us and for the film. ”
"We were expecting to finish filming last year, but unfortunately the outbreak has brought the film industry to a standstill like any other industry. Especially given the large number of spectators involved in the leicester victory scene, we wanted to capture a real fan gathering scene rather than just using computer-generated images. ”
"Despite the obstacles to the creation of the film, we did not idle, but used this time to continue to polish the script and bring in some exciting new partners. Now we look forward to finishing filming and production as soon as the policy allows, and hopefully the stadium will be full of fans by then." ”
Butchart currently resides in Hollywood and produces and distributes films through his own company, Knightsbridge Films. The "Goals" series of films has grossed more than £23 million worldwide, and football superstars such as Zidane and David Beckham have also made cameo appearances in the film.
Butchart has now confirmed that Zac Effron or Robert Pattinson will play Vardy in the film, but Louis Tomlinson from the one-way band is equally likely to play Vardy.
Commenting on the matter, Leicester City manager Rogers said: "I think Vardy's story is so unique. This movie is bound to be in our lives in the future, isn't it? ”
