Xiamen has carried out in-depth practice activities of "I do practical things for the masses"

In Xiamen, due to the uneven development of medical resources inside and outside the island, the difficulty of seeing a doctor has always been a concern of the people. In this regard, Xiamen City has accelerated the construction of West China Xiamen Hospital of Sichuan University and Maluanwan Hospital Huandong Haiyu Hospital. Lin Jinchun, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Health Commission, said that the Xiamen Municipal Health Commission took the opportunity of party history study and education and the practical activity of "I do practical things for the masses" as the starting point to accelerate the construction of large hospitals, make up for the shortcomings of people's livelihood such as insufficient total medical resources and uneven development, and strive to let more people enjoy high-quality medical services.

Since the study and education of party history was launched, Xiamen has increased the intensity of housing security. The Xiamen Municipal Construction Bureau proposed 20 "I do practical things for the masses" projects, focusing on the hot and difficult issues of people's livelihood, and planned to complete the transformation of 25,000 old residential areas this year.

Chen Jiangsheng, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Housing Security and Housing Administration Bureau, said that as of now, Xiamen has allocated about 95,300 sets (rooms) of various types of affordable housing and talent housing, of which about 37,400 sets of affordable rental housing, about 21,400 sets of sales-oriented housing such as affordable commercial housing, and about 36,500 sets (rooms) of public rental housing at two levels in urban areas.

Since the beginning of this year, the transportation department of Xiamen City has put the construction of transportation infrastructure in the first place in the list of "I do practical things for the masses" projects. At the end of June, Xiamen Rail Transit Line 3 (Xiamen Railway Station - Caicuo Station Section) was officially opened, which is the third cross-sea passage of Xiamen Rail Transit and the backbone of rail transit radiating eastward in the center of Xiamen.

"Our goal is to make it convenient, comfortable and safe for all citizens to travel." Ren Guoyan, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Transportation Bureau, said that in the study and education of party history, the Xiamen Municipal Transportation Bureau has continuously made up for the shortcomings of transportation and provided better travel services for the masses.
