Hou Tong was a Qing Jiaqing jinshi and a servant of the official, according to the Qing Dynasty, the official shilang was Shaozai, and his mansion was called Shaozaidi. Hou Tong's former residence Shaozaidi was built in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, is a group of large-scale, very Jiangnan characteristics of the official eunuch residence, before and after a total of five, the width of the five rooms, the east side of the prepared lane through, is an important ancient building complex in Wuxi City, in 2003 was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
Hou Ruifang is the seventh granddaughter of Hou Tong, and has devoted herself to the protection of old mansions and the excavation and collation of local literary and historical materials for many years.
