Not far south from the avenue in front of Hengxi Middle School, you will arrive at Dalin Village, where Wu Shilai Cemetery is located, which has magical stories and legends and is famous in the history of Xianju.
At the beginning of the liberation, Dalin Village had a township-level establishment, was the seat of Dalin Township, and was once a village with an identity. For the origin of the village name, the "Xianju County Gazetteer" records a magical legend.
Mr. Zhu Yiqi, the ancestor of Dalin Village, prayed one day at the City God Temple and cried in fear when he dreamed that "a hundred bloody human heads hung from the head of the West Gate". The next day, the dream interpreter said that this was an "auspicious omen" and pointed out that Zhu Yiqi would definitely become a rich man in the future as long as he chose a good day to go a hundred miles west and settle down.
Zhu Yiqi did so and chose a day to go west. When I walked to the current location of Daelim Village, I was too tired to sit down and rest. Unexpectedly, there was an unexpected storm in the sky, and in an instant, the wind and rain were great, the flash flood broke out and the earth broke apart, and Zhu Yiqi was drenched in the wind and rain into a soup chicken - at this time, it was already difficult to move forward. Remembering the words of the dream interpreter, this place is also about a hundred miles away from the city, probably this is the place where the fate is destined to live in the second half of his life, Mr. Zhu built a house and settled in the same place. In order to commemorate his ancestors, his descendants set the name of the village as "Da Lin", which later evolved into Da Lin Village.
Perhaps just a legend, the real history of Dalin Village is about 300 years, during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the ancestors of the Zhu surname moved in, and the Zhu surname is the big surname of Dalin Village.
After a circle in the village, most of the people left behind are middle-aged and elderly, which seems to have become the standard in the countryside.
The Zhu Ancestral Hall in the village has become dilapidated and decayed, and the mottled characters on the stone pillars can no longer see the original face, silently telling the glory of the past.
On the side of the ancestral hall, there is a "Pan Shangfei Studio", where the Iron General guards the door to thank guests. Su Su, who loves to paint, is familiar with the master, and introduced that this teacher Pan is a master of painting wall painting, and went to Dongyang today to paint wall painting. I had a relationship with Teacher Pan, and I once ate at the same table in the Guo Ao Pan Ancestral Hall, or rather, a meal. However, probably I remember him, but he may not be impressed with me, haha!
When I came to Dalin Village, I also wanted to visit the cemetery of the ancestor Wu Dutang.
If you ask which ancestor has the greatest fame among the common people in the history of Xianju, it is wu shilai. When I was a child, I listened to my mother tell the story of Wu Du Tang's demotion of the Five Holy Ladies to sit in the corner of the ground, and I still remember it deeply, but at that time, I didn't know what Wu Du Tang was sacred. As he grew older, there were more and more legends of Wu DuTang Jingxingyan facing the wall reading hard, Songjiang killing Wu Kou, and writing to impeach Yan Song and being sent to Hengzhou... It can be said that Wu Shilai's official title in the history of Xianju is not the largest, but his fame is well-deserved.
Of course, people are three-dimensional, and people with shortcomings are full of character images. Before Wu Shilai was appointed to patrol Guangdong, he indiscriminately recruited 59 of his cronies, was impeached and dismissed, and returned to xianju's hometown for 16 years. After Wu Shilai, he was also the official Zuo Du Yushi, known as Wu Dutang, but for the cheating incident in the field of science and technology, "he could not strengthen himself in the late festival and entrusted the snake to govern", and as a result, as a royal history, he was impeached continuously.
It is said that when Wu Dutang died, the imperial court sacrificed him to the highest standard, which can be called the first in the history of Xianju. The Wanli Emperor issued an edict giving him the title of "Zhongke" (later taken of his title), posthumously giving Wu Shilai's ancestors and fathers the title of Zuo Du Yushi, sons and grandsons entering the dynasty as officials, and the imperial court's heavy subjects to the palace to worship. The Wanli Emperor also ordered that special funds be allocated to send special personnel to be responsible for the construction of a tomb for Wu Shi in the xianju hometown, which can be described as extremely mournful.
The original cemetery, stone people and stone horses, was grand in scale. The depth is 80 zhang, the width is more than 100 zhang, enough to occupy a mountain.
Under the guidance of the villagers, and a friend, I finally saw the tomb of Wu Dutang, who was full of legends in his life, at the place of the Gate Hill Cemetery.
Time has passed, and the grave we see is already overgrown with weeds- a thousand glories before death, but behind us is a bunch of loess.
In front of the tomb, there are two stone tablets, one yang engraved with the words "Tianguan Shaozai" and the other yin engraved with the content of the large sacred will of "Fengtian Transport".
The two sides of the word "Holy Will" in the middle of the tombstone are carved with two dragons, and the two sides below, which are covered by weeds, are "dragon" and "phoenix".
The tomb of Wu Dutang has been stolen and destroyed many times in history, and it is not known whether these are original objects or rebuilt by posterity. However, carving the words "dragon" and "phoenix" on the tombstone, I don't know if the Wanli Emperor agreed at the beginning?
When we went down the mountain, we saw that the 98-year-old grandmother who had just pointed out our path was still weeding in the field.
