The command center announced the notification of 9 cases of serious adverse events of the vaccine received on the 10th, namely 8 cases of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1 case of Modena vaccine.

According to the agency, a person suspected of dying after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine had a history of stroke, cirrhosis and peritoneal dialysis, had a dry cough 2 days after vaccination, and went to the nephrology department for 3 days after vaccination, followed by discomfort such as bad appetite, tiredness, neck pain, nausea and poor bowel movements.

6 days after the vaccination, the morning still persisted discomfort, the amount of food was small, and after eating, he vomited. Unconscious at noon that day, he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, died before arriving at the hospital, and the PCR test result was negative.

The outbreak command center also said that whether the deaths were related to vaccination is still subject to further assessment by experts.

In addition, the Modena vaccine began in Taiwan on the 10th, and the island reported the first serious adverse event after receiving the Modena vaccine. A female in her thirties developed headaches and eye pain 30 minutes after vaccination, and began to have shortness of breath, difficulties and abdominal pain 1 hour after vaccination, etc. The hospital gave severe allergic reaction related treatment, and is currently in stable condition and continues to be under observation in the intensive care unit.

According to the statistics of the command center, on the 10th, 19,282 people in Taiwan were vaccinated against the new crown pneumonia vaccine, of which 7,510 were AstraZeneca vaccine and 11,772 were molded against the Modena vaccine.

As of the notification time, 782,300 people have been vaccinated in Taiwan, including 767,160 AstraZeneca vaccines, 15,140 Modena vaccines, and 113 suspected serious adverse events after vaccination.
