Tianjin is a large city in North China, and before the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were few professional performance venues and fixed performance forms. After Bai Yunpeng first arrived in Tianjin, he only rapped in the entertainment stalls in the streets and alleys. Because of his good voice and simple personality, he slowly developed into professional places such as Yanle, Kaiping, Zhonghua, and Daguanyuan to rap at that time. Bai Yunpeng's best singing section is "Exploring The Clear Sky" in "Dream of the Red Chamber". He bites lightly, puts loose tones, is moderately strong and weak, and conveys affection; the allegro is clean and neat, and the slow board is flowing with clouds and water. In the 1930s, together with Liu Baoquan and Zhang Xiaoxuan, he was known as the "Three Masters of the Drum World".

The baiyun pengjing rhyme drum records that still exist in the world include more than ten kinds of "Changsakapo", "Dai Yu Burning Manuscript", "Exploring Qingwen", "White Emperor City", "Dai Yu Gui Tian", "Weeping Ancestral Temple", "Fang Xiaoru", "Overlord Bieji", "Too Illusory Realm", "Meng Jiang Girl", "Thorn Tiger", "Double Jade Listening to the Qin" and so on.

After the founding of New China, Mr. Bai Yunpeng ushered in a new dawn, he loved the country and society even more, and loved the artistic career he pursued all his life. In 1950, he was honored to attend the National Congress of Qu Artists and was received by the leaders of the Party and the state. After Bai Yunpeng retired in 1951, he was hired as a consultant by the China Academy of Opera as an art director, and was hired as a special teacher by the Beijing Art Training School, sparing no effort to make his due contribution to the country's artistic cause.

In 1952, Mr. Bai, who was nearly eighty years old, died of esophageal cancer on April 6. At the memorial service, celebrities mei Lanfang, Shang Xiaoyun, Cheng Yanqiu, Yang Baosen, Li Shaochun, and celebrities in the field of music and art, Hou Baolin, went to mourn and sent wreaths. In accordance with Mr. Bai Yunpeng's will, his bones were buried in the graves of the family in gaoquan village, his hometown.
