"This kind of fish is timid, lying at the bottom of the pool, eating under the food, must be carefully observed, feeding more or less is not good." Shen Kun is tall and thin, and is a native of Fenghua Tongzhao Village. "I am the 'third generation of fishermen', my grandfather is a fisherman, my parents raised fish on the fish steak in Xiangshan Port, but in my generation, they raised fish in the farm." Shen Kun said that for him, fish farming is actually a cross-line entrepreneurship. He majored in computer science, and after graduation, he worked in a company in Ningbo for three years, doing equipment repair. In 2010, his uncle Lin Weijiang bought land to build a factory in The Village of Kaixi and beckoned him to work together, and since then he has been "glued" by the jade bald fish.

The earliest farm was to raise grouper, but unfortunately the benefits are not good, the uncles and nephews after the total, decided to transform, inspected for a long time, determined to raise jade bald fish. The scientific name of the jade bald fish is semi-slippery tongue fish, which was a new breed in China at that time, and they imported fish fry from Shandong and hired a master to learn while raising it. "The master did less than half a year and then left, I bought my own books, checked the information on the Internet, and asked the teacher of the Fisheries Research Institute for advice if I didn't understand it, and slowly pondered." Shen Kun said that the "doorway" of fish farming has been groped out little by little.

Fish farming is a high-risk matter, water quality control, feeding, disease prevention, all aspects must be taken care of, can not be sloppy. There is also a special place for raising jade bald fish, only raising female fish and not raising male fish, because male fish are not big. "But when purchasing fry, there is no way to distinguish males and females, only by luck, and reliable suppliers are very important." Shen Kun said that the fish fry should enter the head fry, the proportion of female fish will be higher, if the vast majority of the fish bought are male fish, it will lose. At first, they didn't understand, and only after losing a few times did they feel the number of roads. In the first half of this year, the base entered 100,000 fish fry, raised them for 4 months, and finally found that 40,000 were male fish, which had to be released into the sea.

Fish farming is still a lonely and hard job, three times a day to feed the bait, but also to clean the pond, Shen Kun eats and lives in the base, even the New Year is not idle. "I stayed in the fish farm every day, had almost no contact with the outside world, and once worried that I wouldn't even find my wife." Shen Kun said that his wife is a pharmacist in a hospital in Fenghua, who was introduced by a classmate, and had children after marriage, and the family of three lived on the farm until the child was going to go to primary school, and the mother and son lived in Fenghua, leaving him alone with the fish. "Fortunately, the use of groundwater aquaculture, the water temperature is maintained at 18 degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius all year round, without boiler heating, saving a lot of work." In the breeding workshop, Shen Kun picked up a few fish with a net to check the growth status. He told reporters that the jade bald fish must be raised for at least 1 year to be sold as a commercial fish, raised for two years, the bar weighs more than one kilogram, sold to the hotel during the fishing moratorium, the wholesale price is nearly 200 yuan per kilogram, and the benefit is not bad.

After several years of experience, Shen Kun's fish farming technology has become independent, and his uncle Lin Weijiang has relieved him to become the "chief housekeeper". At present, Haiye Shengmao Company is the only large-scale jade bald fish factory farm in Zhejiang Province, and its production of golden bald brand semi-slippery tongue fish is a well-known aquaculture brand in Ningbo, mainly sold to Shandong and other northern markets. After 10 years of fish farming, Shen Kun experienced many twists and turns, and in one year he entered several batches of fish fry in a row, and after raising them for one or two months, almost the entire army was destroyed, with a loss of more than 500,000 yuan. "Fish are for people to eat, breeding safety first, must not be indiscriminate use of drugs."
