The event was organised by the HKSAR Government, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKC) and China State Construction Corporation.
Carrie Lam, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said in her speech that Hong Kong has ushered in a new situation and a new starting point, and in the future, to better integrate into the overall situation of national development and build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong compatriots need to have a stronger national centripetal force, and the "Spirit of the Times Yao Xiangjiang" activity has played such an important role. The exhibition is themed around construction, covering a number of Hong Kong's buildings and infrastructure, reflecting Hong Kong's close connection to the country and the country's support and care for Hong Kong.
Carrie Lam revealed that it is expected that in the next few years, the hong Kong SAR government's capital project expenditure will exceed HK$100 billion per year, which will be used to promote various people's livelihood infrastructure projects, accelerate land construction, improve the living environment of citizens, enhance the living index of citizens, and build a livable, workable and travel-friendly Hong Kong.
