Lin Qiaozhi's father, named Lin Liangying, was an open-minded teacher, unlike other patriarchal fathers, who believed that children should be educated from the beginning of their understanding, even if they were daughters, they should also be literate and hyphenated.

The teachers' college where Lin Qiaozhi studied before did not offer physics and chemistry courses, and these two courses accounted for the most credits in the Union Medical College.
Soon after Lin Qiaozhi enrolled in school, he encountered such a big problem, the teachers in the hospital also gave the students a preventive injection, suggesting that those who could not keep up with the study should go to other schools as soon as possible to avoid delaying time.

After eight years of studying at Xiehe Medical College, Lin Qiaozhi has always been synonymous with excellence, and has also become the object of study for his students.
In 1929, the 28-year-old Lin Qiaozhi graduated from school, and only 3 of the five girls who were admitted with her were left.
Because of her outstanding performance in school, Lin Qiaozhi did not submit her resume like other students after graduation, and as soon as she graduated, she was transferred from Xiehe Hospital to become an obstetrician and gynecologist, and she was also the first Chinese female doctor to graduate and stay in the hospital.
In the old society at that time, many people did not believe that a woman could take care of family and career at the same time, so when the hospital administrator hired Lin Qiaozhi, he also set such a rule, which was also printed on Lin Qiaozhi's letter of appointment, to the effect that:
"Any person who is married, pregnant, or has a child during the period of appointment shall be automatically dismissed."

During her further studies abroad, Union Hospital sent a telegram to Lin Qiaozhi asking her if she would like to change her studies in public health.

One is that there is no need to work the night shift, and the other is that you can get married, but in the face of these two rich conditions, Lin Qiaozhi directly refused without thinking about it.

As a result, school staff and medical staff can only earn their own livelihoods, and hospitals can no longer accept new patients.
In this grim situation, many doctors can only go abroad or go to other hospitals to work, and some are listed as practitioners, and Lin Qiaozhi chose the latter.
In order to make a living, Lin Qiaozhi opened a small obstetrics and gynecology clinic in the courtyard of No. 10 Dongtangzi Hutong in Beiping.
It is precisely because of the opening of the outpatient clinic that Lin Qiaozhi discovered the illness and pain of lower-class women and the various rights they lost in life.
These women are different from the women of wealthy families, they have the same troubles despite different types of work, and recurrent gynecological inflammation plagues everyone.
Because of poverty and ignorance, many women lack hygiene knowledge, and even such a major matter as having children is decided by the men and the elderly in the family.
Whenever she treats these women, Lin Qiaozhi is always sad and helpless, and she has told them countless times to pay attention to hygiene and self-care, and to treat each other wholeheartedly.
From the opening to closing of this small clinic, a total of 8887 patients survived.

The reason why Fu Zuoyi's wife treated Lin Qiaozhi so kindly was because she gave birth to a boy safely, and the person who delivered the baby was Lin Qiaozhi, so the Fu family honored Lin Qiaozhi as a guest.
After the liberation of New China, Lin Qiaozhi received an invitation letter from the founding ceremony, and in the face of such high etiquette, Lin Qiaozhi still did not go, because in her view, she was just a small obstetrician and gynecologist.
After the founding of New China, Lin Qiaozhi began to study gynecological diseases and find ways to prevent them, she organized a census of 50,000 people in Beijing and collected first-hand information.
In March 1962, Jiao Haitang, a female worker in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, sent a letter to Lin Qiaozhi for fertility reasons.
In the letter, Lin Qiaozhi learned that the woman had been pregnant 4 times, but only 1 child had survived, and the other three children had died of yellowing all over their bodies.
After the fifth pregnancy, Jiao Haitang was afraid that the child this time would die as in the previous times, so he wrote to Lin Qiaozhi for help.

After receiving the letter, Lin Qiaozhi immediately judged that the 3 children she died prematurely were neonatal jaundice, which is also called neonatal hemolytic disease, which is a homogeneous immune disease caused by the blood group discord between mother and child.
At that time, whether abroad or abroad, it was difficult to treat jaundice in newborns, and there was almost no precedent for survival, and Lin Qiaozhi also made a long period of ideological preparation before deciding to accept this patient.
If the pregnant woman and the child are cured, her career and prestige will be on the next level, and if she is not cured, then she will face pressure and accusations from all sides.
But looking at the expectations of an expectant mother, Lin Qiaozhi gritted her teeth and accepted the pregnant woman.
After consulting a large number of journals, Lin Qiaozhi found that although there is little information on the treatment of jaundice, there are also some case reports, such as the method of umbilical cord exchange in infants, which may be cured.
At the same time, a new question arises, how to do the operation? There is no case of the position of the anatomy and the size of the incision.
After conducting research consultations with a number of experts, Lin Qiaozhi put everyone's opinions together and customized a surgical plan that ultimately allowed the baby to survive smoothly.

Lin Qiaozhi said: "Only by observing the details will you know how to observe the mother, and can you see that in the normal course of labor, individual and unexpected changes often occur." ”
Because she is also a woman, Lin Qiaozhi also has different thoughtfulness and care in treating patients, she will pull the curtain when the mother does the examination to ensure the privacy of the other party, and will also criticize the doctor when reprimanding the mother, and ask him to apologize to the mother in person.

On April 21, 1983, the day before Lin Qiaozhi's death, she also delivered six babies by herself.
