Hefei, June 12 (Liu Honghe, Gao Qianjun, Chen Tian) On June 12, the last 4-meter diameter No. 14 borehole pile of Pier Z3 of the main bridge of the Ma'anshan Public Railway Dual-use Yangtze River Bridge of the Chaoma Intercity Railway was successfully infused. At this point, all 36 super-large diameter drilled piles of the pier have been completed, which is also the first main pier drilled pile foundation completed on the entire line of Chaoma Railway.

It is understood that the Chaoma Intercity Railway, also known as the Chaoma Passenger Dedicated Line, is a high-speed railway connecting Hefei City (Chaohu City) and Ma'anshan City, and is an important part of the shanghai-Hanrong railway transport channel between Hefei and Shanghai, one of the main channels of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway.

"The Ma'anshan Public Railway Dual-use Yangtze River Bridge is a key control project for the new Chaoma Intercity Railway, and is currently the world's largest span three-tower two-main span cable-stayed bridge. Both main spans are 1120 meters, spanning the Niutun River beach and the main channel respectively. Zhang Wu, project manager of the China Railway Bridge Bureau Chaoma Intercity Railway CMSG-1 bid, said that the Z4 pier located in the main channel of the Yangtze River is the middle tower pier, the height of the tower is 345 meters, which is currently the world's tallest bridge tower, and the design adopts 60 drilled and perfused pile foundations with a diameter of 4 meters; the Z3 side tower piers located in the Niutun River beach on the bank of Hexian County and the Z5 side tower piers located on the Jiangxinzhou side are 308 and 306 meters high, respectively, and 36 drilled and perfused pile foundations with a diameter of 4 meters are designed. The three main tower piers of the main bridge use a total of 132 bored piles with a diameter of 4 meters, which is the first time in the world that a 4.0-meter super-large diameter pile group foundation has been used in inland rivers.

"We have adopted the rotary drilling and grading drilling into hole process, solved the construction problems of super-large diameter drilling piles, optimized the construction process, innovated construction methods, and accumulated valuable experience for the construction of domestic bridge oversized borehole piles; actively carried out labor competition activities, formulated phased goals, selected elite soldiers, allocated high-quality resources, worked hard and fast, continuously improved ergonomics, and completed all 36 drilled piles in just over 3 months, creating a new record for the construction of domestic bridge oversized borehole piles." Zhang Wu said.

At present, the project department is working intensively and methodically on the construction of the Z3 pier cofferdam; at the same time, the Z4 main tower pier is also non-stop, closely following it, so far 14 holes have been formed, and 9 drilled piles have been filled; the main bridge side pier Z1 pier has a total of 12 piles, and 5 have been completed. The construction site is lined with drilling rigs, tower cranes and various types of cranes waving booms, whistles everywhere, a busy scene. (End)
