After the colleague found out, he rushed to the hospital, and the doctor diagnosed that the pancreatitis had recurred. Prior to this, he had been hospitalized three times for pancreatitis.
During his admission, Liu Wei was promoted and appointed deputy director of the Jin'an Branch of the Fuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau. On the way to Nanjing for medical treatment, Liu Wei also talked with his colleagues with great interest about the work plan after arriving at the new post. However, before he took office, on July 10, 2020, Liu Wei left his family and friends forever due to the ineffectiveness of pancreatitis recurrence, and also ended the police career he had always loved and fought for for 21 years. As he lay dying, he was still worried about his unfinished business.
After Liu Wei left, his colleague went to his office and found that the case information on the desk was piled up like a hill. In the corner of the second floor of the bookshelf in his office, there are still many painkillers and gastrointestinal medicines. When everyone was collecting the relics, they found the medical examination reports and medical record reports that he had hidden. After reading these reports, everyone knew that since 6 years ago, Liu Wei's physical examination report had lit up a "red light", which he had never mentioned to his family and colleagues.

In the 21 years since joining the police, Liu Wei has been fighting in the front line of the investigation of major and important cases, criminal syndicates and serious crimes. Liu Wei once laughed and said that he was born to "sweep away the black", because "Wei" is fire and the nemesis of "darkness".
In 2011, a criminal suspected of rape and gun shooting, after being arrested, yelled at his fellow inmates: "Wait for me to go out, let that 'tall man' pay the price!" The "tall man" in the mouth of the criminals is Liu Wei, and when colleagues heard about it, they were very worried about his safety, but unexpectedly, Liu Wei said: "The more arrogant the criminal, the more you must sit on the evidence of his crime!" ”

Liu Wei once said frankly: "I chose the road of criminal police because I like it, so I don't feel tired at all, and the only thing I feel ashamed of is my family!" In the more than a year since he left, his wife Zhang Xingyang has not missed her husband for a single day. The two of them are first love and have deep feelings. However, due to work, the two often met for many days, and the wife could only put Liu Wei's change of clothes in the unit concierge and take them when he was free.
