Hamilton is proud of both the countless aviation timepieces produced since 1918 and the brand's rich history of military watchmaking, both of which are inspiration for today's collections. In Hamilton Khaliton's Aviation Aviation Collection Flying Pioneer, aviation and military are cleverly blended through a unique design. The new watch combines vintage aesthetics, engineering excellence, and dynamic and technical features to complement the brand's Pilot's Watch collection.
Hamilton Khaliton's Aviation Series Flying Pioneer Watch was not inspired by watches, but from pocket watches produced during World War II. In addition to more than 1 million military watches and nautical astronomical clocks, chronographs and other instruments, the brand supplied more than 27,000 Model 23 pocket watches to the U.S. military during the war.
As the cutting-edge timekeeping device of the time, the Model 23 pocket watch was designed for use by U.S. Air Force navigators. With its slender silhouettes, ultra-clear numerals, cathedral hands and an authentic railway track scale bezel, the new Khaki Aviation Pioneer reproduces the elegant dial aesthetic of the Model 23 pocket watch, transforming the classic aeronautical timepiece design into a new dynamic and refined masterpiece.
Although the Model 23 is a chronograph pocket watch, the Khaki Aviation Pioneer is not, which is equipped with a simple mechanical movement that retains an indisputable sense of technology. The most notable features include a two-way rotating bezel and a striking winding crown modelled on the "Onion Head" crown design of antique aviation watches, including the Model 23. The crown is large and easy to use with gloves.
Hamilton Khaliton Khalifa Aviation Pioneers are available in 43 mm and 38 mm sizes. The 43 mm model is equipped with the ETA 6498-1 hand-wound mechanical movement and is equipped with a small seconds drive. At the same time, the case is also available in smooth steel and unique bronze, making this incredible timepiece an individual' own.
The 38mm model features a stainless-steel case with a more understated and versatile design with no small seconds. This watch is equipped with a NivaachronTM anti-magnetic silicon spring and an H-10 self-winding movement with an ultra-long power reserve of 80 hours, which is designed for adventure.
