Pay attention to Dr. Yang Yangyang and raise the posture together

is a bottoming out
Or is it a return to the light?
Men are a species that is disappearing.

At the microscopic level, the male-specific Y chromosome is shrinking. Perhaps in a few million years, it will be difficult to say whether there will be a man in the world.
But before that, something more urgent, about the current fate of human reproduction, has happened.
That is: a cliff-like decline in the quality of men's sperm around the world.
What's the use of having men? If their little tadpoles are too poor to get women pregnant, will the human species face extinction immediately?
This is not alarmist. One notable piece of evidence is that the reference value for semen quality in normal men is declining.
In 1999, the World Health Organization issued the 4th edition of the Manual of Laboratory Tests for Human Semen and Sperm-Cervical Mucus Interactions. Eleven years later, in 2000, the World Health Organization issued the 5th edition of the Laboratory Manual for the Testing and Handling of Human Semen.
Comparing the reference values for semen quality in these two editions of the manual, you can appreciate the meaning of cliff-like decline:
Semen volume: from 2 ml to 1.5 ml
Sperm concentration: from 20 million per milliliter to 15 million per milliliter
Sperm motility: from 50% to 32%
Normal sperm morphology rate: from 15% to 4%
That is to say, only 11 years later, the reference standard for human semen quality has collapsed so much.
What does that mean? The same semen sample was found to be unqualified 11 years ago, but after 11 years it may show that you are completely normal.
It's like everyone's college entrance examination score has dropped, so a score line has to go down.
Just this past July, the World Health Organization published the 6th edition of the Laboratory Manual for human semen testing and processing.
Yes, the 11-year exam is here again.
The result? Will it continue to collapse?
Thankfully, there are those that continue to fall, but there are those that remain unchanged, and even those that have rebounded!
Continued declines:
Semen volume: from 1.5 ml to 1.4 ml
Percentage of sperm motized forward: from 32% to 30%
Sperm survival: from 58% to 54%
Unchanged:
Normal sperm morphology rate: 4%
Total number of sperm per ejaculation: 39 million
Pick-up:
Sperm concentration: from 15 million per milliliter to 16 million per milliliter
Total sperm motility: from 40% to 42%
So at least, the continued cliff-like decline is a temporary stabilization.
The reason for this may be related to people's gradual attention to male pregnancy preparation, the increasing popularity of pre-pregnancy examinations, the improvement of our daily life environment, the reduction of pollution and so on.
It's not over yet.
Dr. Sheep talked about how this "reference value" was calculated in last week's article.
More than 3,500 men were captured worldwide, and they all managed to get their wives pregnant within a year.
Then take out their semen parameters, draw a line at the lowest 5%, and get the lower limit of the reference value.
It is worth noting that in the latest reference group, the data of 1200 Chinese men has been added as never before, accounting for more than 1/3 of the overall population, more than any other country.
And the 1,200 Chinese men, all from Guangdong Province.
So you can also say that a considerable part of the reference value of men in the world is determined by Guangdong men.
Applause for Cantonese men! It seems that eating more Fujian people is still quite useful (no)
If there is no accident, it will not be long before the new version of the reference standard will appear on the semen report sheets of major hospitals in China.
To this day, there are many hospital semen report sheets that are still using the ancient standard of the fourth edition, which is really incomprehensible.
When you go to the hospital for a check-up, be sure to pay attention to this.
I also hope that all male compatriots will work together to get rid of various bad living habits and take care of their little tadpoles.
Because we share the important mission of reproducing human beings, we can't let our little tadpole quality get worse and worse.
Dr. Sheep wishes you good luck and helps you get pregnant
