"My brother and some of my friends are veterans, and I've seen firsthand the impact of the war on some powerful people," the photographer said. The veteran in the photo suffered huge losses in Afghanistan and also suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is why Rocko came to his rescue. This German Shepherd has been trained in professional skills to help him soothe and calm him in times of difficulty. I captured not only how this dog helped a PTSD patient, but also how the dog enriched the life of this veteran. ”

It was around nine o'clock that night, it was dark, and Roxy was sitting on our back porch, waiting for Mom to feed us. I used a styling lamp and a porch lamp to illuminate her beautiful face. Roxy has lived in the shelter since she was four months old, and we adopted her when she was seven months old. She is now five years old and is the cutest girl.
