Johannesburg, November 24 (People's Daily News) -- The University of Cape Town, South Africa, recently announced that a new breed of shrimp has been found in False Bay. According to professors at the university, about 30 species of undocumented marine life can be found in South African waters each year.

This "astrological bran shrimp" is about 10 mm to 15 mm long and its eyes are staring upwards. It is familiar to divers, but it has never been recorded on the list of marine life.

Recently, a diver sent a sample of his to the university, which was identified as a new species that had never been recorded, and was named Mysidopsis zsilaveczi after the diver, and was subsequently published by the university's professional team in an academic journal for publication.

Professor Griffith of the university said that all shrimp do not have pupils and irises, so the eyes of the "astrological bran shrimp" are undoubtedly a "blindfold method" implemented by nature on it. It has insect-like eyes, and the pronounced wheel-like pattern around it makes it appear larger to drive away predators.

In addition, the diver also found a new suborder of nudibranchs in Long Beach, Cape Town, which is a soft-bodied sea cucumber with a conspicuous and plump appearance and large green lobes on its body, resembling the shape of a leaf outside the Sydney Opera House.
