鳽 ( jīan), also pronounced yan. Most bird people are used to reading yan.
Reed flounder, a genus of birds in the heron family. Birds of the genus Reed Flounder, multi-sex lonely and shy. It inhabits the open waters rich in waterside plants in plains and low hilly areas, especially in small and medium-sized lakes and swamps inhabited by large areas of reeds and grasses, and feeds on animal foods such as small fish, shrimp, frogs and aquatic insects.

Yellow reed flounder
One of the most common wetland birds, it breeds in northeast China to central and southwestErn China, Taiwan and Hainan Island. Wintering in the tropics.
Purple-backed reed flounder
Not uncommon, sexually withdrawn and shy. It breeds in Heilongjiang via eastern and central China to Guangdong, Yunnan. Migration through Hainan Island and Taiwan.
Chestnut flounder
It is commonly found in freshwater marshes and rice paddies from Liaoning to central China, east China, southwest China, Hainan Island and Taiwan. Overwintering in tropical areas.
Cannabis
Large (75 cm) golden brown and black flounder. Sexually hidden, prefers high reeds. It makes a sound that resembles a drumming during the breeding season. Sometimes when found, it is fixed on the spot, with the mouth pointed vertically upwards, imitating a reed.
Black reed flounder
Sexual shyness is rare. During the day, it prefers to spend time in swamps where forests and plants intersect, and at night it flies to other locations to eat. Nests in dense forest vegetation above water or above swamps.
Reed flounders are always hiding, and it is not easy to take the ideal picture of them in the wild.
