Sherobenchen: Seventeen years to save the black bear

Born in England, Sherobenchen joined the International Fund for Animal Welfare in 1987. In 1998, she founded the Animals For Asia Fund (AFF) in Hong Kong to devote herself to animal protection in Asia. In 1993, while visiting a bear farm in Guangzhou, Sherobenchen stumbled upon asian black bears that were bound by cages and their bile was gushing out. At that moment, she found her mission. In the 17 years since the founding of Animals Asia, Seropinson has saved more than 500 black bears in China and Vietnam. (The Chinese Philanthropist)
