On February 9, the Asian Winter Games cross-country skiing women's 5km (free technique) competition started in Yabuli, Chinese player Bayani Garin won the championship in 12:07.5, and teammates Dinigel Yilamujiang and Chi Chunxue won the second and third places respectively.

Yesterday our teammates won two gold medals, which is very motivating for me. Bayani Garin said that he has actively participated in various international competitions this season to improve his competitive level. In the future, I will actively prepare for the relay race with my teammates, and I hope to achieve good results. After that, he will prepare for the Milan Winter Olympics, hoping to win glory for the country.
Bayani Garin, a 25-year-old girl from Xinjiang, was the women's team sprint (freestyle) champion in the open cross-country skiing category at the 14th National Winter Games last year. At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese team composed of her, Chi Chunxue, Li Xin and Ma Qinghua won the tenth place in the women's cross-country skiing 4×5km relay competition, setting a new record for the Chinese team in this small event in the Winter Olympics.
Veteran Chi Chunxue finished third in 12:17.5, having competed at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as winning the women's double pursuit and women's 4×5km relay at the 14th National Winter Games.
