On October 20th, the FINA Short Course Swimming World Cup Shanghai Station entered the last day of competition. A number of preliminaries were held in the morning session, and Chinese swimming stars such as Qin Haiyang, Tang Qianting, and Li Bingjie appeared again. Women's 100m butterfly preliminaries - Yu Yiting and Chen Luying advanced
Yu Yiting started in lane 5 of group 2 and swam a time of 56.91 seconds, ranking second in the group and third overall. 17-year-old Chen Luying won the fourth place in Group 2 in 57.09 seconds, ranked fifth overall, and also advanced to the final. The other two Chinese players, Cheng Yujie and Wu Qingfeng, unfortunately failed to make it to the finals.
Men's 50m butterfly preliminaries - Switzerland's Ponty broke the world record, and all five Chinese athletes were out.
Switzerland's Ponty swam 21.67 seconds in Group 6, breaking the world record in the short course 50m butterfly. Several Chinese players Sun Jiajun, Wang Changhao, Chen Juner, Zhang Zhanshuo and Dong Zhihao all stopped in the preliminaries.
Women's 200m backstroke preliminaries - Peng Xuwei ranked 4th overall
Peng Xuwei, who started in lane 5 of group 2, swam a time of 2:07.58, ranking 3rd in the group and 4th overall, and successfully entered the final in the evening session.
Men's 100m backstroke preliminaries - Fei Liwei finished 14th and missed the final
Fei Liwei, who started in lane 1 of Group 3, swam 54.39 seconds in the preliminaries, ranking 6th in the group, and 14th in the overall score, failing to reach the final.
Women's 50m breaststroke preliminaries - Tang Qianting easily advanced to the first place
Tang Qianting started in lane 4 of Group 1, and she led the race all the way, swimming a time of 29.16 seconds, far ahead of the other competitors, and entered the final as the first place overall.
Men's 200m breaststroke preliminaries - Qin Haiyang advanced, Zhang Zhanshuo stopped
Qin Haiyang started in lane 5 of group 4, and he swam a time of 2:06.31 in the race to enter the final as the second place in the group and the third place overall. Zhang Zhanshuo swam a time of 2:09.56 in the competition, ranking 13th among all competitors.
Women's 100m freestyle preliminaries - Yang Junxuan and Li Bingjie advanced together
In the women's 100-meter freestyle preliminaries, Yang Junxuan swam a time of 52.85 seconds and won the second place in the group and the third place overall. Li Bingjie ranked second in the group in 53.40 seconds and ranked 5th overall to advance to the finals. Another Chinese player, Wu Qingfeng, ranked 10th overall, unfortunately missed the final. Men's 200m freestyle preliminaries - Pan Zhanle missed the final with a difference of 0.06 seconds
In the men's 200m freestyle preliminaries, Pan Zhanle, who participated in the fourth group, swam a time of 1:44.13, ranking 9th among all competitors, and unfortunately missed the final with a difference of 0.06 seconds. The other two Chinese players, Liu Wudi and Wang Haoyu, finished the preliminaries in 10th and 18th overall, respectively.
Women's 200m individual medley preliminaries - Yu Yiting Wan Lotian advanced together
Yu Yiting, who started in lane 4 of group 1, swam a time of 2:08.37 in the preliminaries, won the first place in the group, and entered the final with the second overall score. Wan Lotte finished 7th overall in 2:17.69 and also qualified for the final.
