On October 19, the 2024 Yantan District Primary and Secondary School Student Football All-Star Game was passionately staged at the Yantan New Town Sports Center Stadium. The competition was hosted by the Education and Sports Bureau of Yantan District, Zigong City, undertaken by the Sports Federation of Yantan District, Zigong City, and co-organized by the Football Association of Yantan District, Zigong City and Longhu Experimental School of Zigong City.
According to the 10th "Learn, Love, Play" Campus Football League for primary and secondary school students in Yantan District, the organizing committee carefully selected 112 outstanding athletes, divided into two areas according to their schools, and set up four elite teams of primary school men's group, women's group and junior high school boy's group and women's group.
On the day of the game, the heavy rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the athletes, who wore bright jerseys and ran and jumped the green field, showing endless energy and love for football. On the field, the players tacitly cooperated, actively scrambled, and every accurate pass and shot won warm applause and cheers from the audience. As the game heats up, the players fight for the ball even if they fall in the mud, and their fighting spirit deeply infects the audience. After the game, the relevant leaders of the Yantan District Education and Sports Bureau braved the rain to award medals and certificates to each athlete, and they walked to the center of the court, shook hands with the athletes one by one, and sent this heavy honor to them.
It is worth mentioning that the parents of the participating athletes were specially invited to watch the competition on the spot, so that they could experience the children's demeanor on the field. At the same time, the whole game was broadcast live online, attracting more than 2,000 viewers to watch online, with more than 15,000 likes, and achieved a good response.
With the successful conclusion of this all-star game, the campus football league in Yantan District will also usher in a new chapter. We look forward to more young football players being able to sweat on the green field, chase their dreams, and contribute to the development of campus football in Yantan District.
