Gan, a fifth-grade student at Zhongyuan Road Primary School, is looking forward to every Friday when he comes to the Happy Home Good Neighbor Center after school to participate in the "Happy Little Master" class, where he can not only make interesting handicrafts, but also meet good friends from different schools. On October 19th, the new phase of the "Happy Little Master" class started, this time to experience intangible cultural heritage paint fans and DIY coasters, and the activity attracted more than 10 students from the surrounding communities to participate.
In the cool autumn, a good-looking antique paint fan with the fragrant osmanthus fragrance on the street forms a different landscape. The production process of the lacquer fan aroused the curiosity of the students, first selected their favorite color to drip into the water, then used a bamboo skewer to highlight and mix the colors, and finally picked up the fan and carefully put it into the water to rotate and color, and a unique ancient fan was made. Each student took matters into their own hands and felt the charm of intangible cultural heritage traditions.
The next step is to DIY your own coaster. When Xiao Xin went to visit her grandmother, she found that she had the habit of drinking hot water, but after receiving the hot water cup and putting it on the table, it would burn out the marks after a long time, so she asked the social worker if she could make a coaster and give it to her grandmother. So, the social worker fulfilled Xiao Xin's wish and brought coaster making in today's class. I saw that everyone carefully filled the mosaic into the coaster, and played a whimsical idea, and integrated their own creativity into the decoration of the coaster, after half an hour of hard work, the good-looking coaster was made! "This gift can be given to grandma, she must love it!" Xiao Xin was very happy with the coaster.
The early dismissal of school every Friday is a happy moment for children and a sad time for parents. After listening to the needs of children and parents, the Happy Home Community Good Neighbor Center opened the "Happy Little Master" class, aiming to enrich the children's after-school life.
At the same time, the Good Neighbor Center continues the "small council" model during the summer nursery school, and communicates with the children to discuss the handicrafts of each class. In the next step, the Good Neighbor Center will continue to give full play to the children's whimsical ideas, integrate the elements of the council in addition to doing handicrafts, guide the children to participate in the autonomous deliberations of the Good Neighbor Center, and make suggestions for the construction of a happy home.
