There is an interesting phenomenon in the world of Journey to the West, every time you leave Lingshan, Guanyin Bodhisattva will stay behind.
For example, in the case of Lion Camel Ridge, in order to deal with the three demons of Lion Camel Ridge, Rulai dispatched 3,000 gods and Buddhas. These 3,000 gods and Buddhas include the three Buddhas of the Burning Lamp, the Buddha of Nyorai and the Buddha of Maitreya, as well as the famous Bodhisattvas such as Manjushri Bodhisattva and Puxian Bodhisattva, as well as the great gods such as the five hundred Arhats and the three thousand gods of Jiedi.
Guanyin Bodhisattva was entrusted by Rulai at that time to stay and guard the Ling Mountain.
So, why does Rulai let Guanyin Bodhisattva guard the spiritual mountain every time he leaves?
Some people believe that the reason why Rulai let Guanyin Bodhisattva guard the Lingshan Mountain is to prevent the Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva.
The Peacock King Bodhisattva was originally an ancient demon peacock. Back then, Rulai cultivated a golden body on the top of the snow-capped mountain, and the peacock took advantage of his unpreparedness, opened his bloody mouth, and sucked Rulai into his stomach. After exerting boundless mana and cutting open its back, he planned to kill the peacock for Tianxingdao, but under the persuasion of the Buddhas in Lingshan, he turned to respect her as the mother of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva of the Peacock Daming King.
But in fact, Rulai's respect for the peacock was actually taking her to Lingshan under house arrest. You must know that if he really respects the peacock and is a Buddha himself, it is impossible to respect the peacock only as a bodhisattva.
Peacock also knows this, so she doesn't want to escape from Lingshan all the time, but she suffers from the boundless mana of Rulai, and she has never been able to succeed. Because of this, every time Rulai goes out, he will let Guanyin Bodhisattva stay and guard, the purpose is to continue to monitor the peacock on his behalf.
This statement seems very reasonable at first glance, but after careful analysis of the strength of the peacock, it is not difficult to find that it is not reasonable.
The peacock's true strength is actually not too strong, she had sucked Rulai into her stomach at the beginning, but she still couldn't cause any damage to Rulai, and let Rulai easily cut through her back and come out.
And we know that although Guanyin Bodhisattva is called a Bodhisattva, he is known as the teacher of the Seven Buddhas and is the first master of the Lingshan Group except for Rulai. If it is to prevent peacocks, if you can't let Guanyin Bodhisattva go out at all, you can just arrange an ordinary Bodhisattva.
The reason why Rulai left Guanyin Bodhisattva to guard Lingshan was to prevent another ancient demon king, who could be said to be the biggest enemy of the Lingshan group.
This ancient demon king is none other than the phoenix. Phoenix is an ancient demon king who attained enlightenment during the Hongmeng period, has unfathomable mana cultivation, and is known as the saint of the demon world, so how did she become the biggest enemy of the Lingshan Group?
First of all, before the creation of the Lingshan Group, Xiniu Hezhou was originally the sphere of influence of the Demon Clan, and the leader of the Demon Clan Group was Phoenix. If you come to create the Lingshan Group and replace the Demon Clan Group to dominate Xiniu Hezhou, it is equivalent to taking away the Phoenix's dominance over Xiniu Hezhou, and the Phoenix is naturally hostile to the Lingshan Group.
Secondly, as mentioned earlier, if you revere the peacock as the Bodhisattva of the Ming Dynasty, the name is respectful, but it is actually under house arrest. This made the peacock very dissatisfied, and the peacock's mother was even more angry. Who is Peacock's mother? None other than the Phoenix. Because of this, the phoenix has been planning to attack Lingshan and rescue the peacock.
However, although the phoenix has unfathomable mana cultivation, she is not Rulai's opponent, so when Rulai is in Lingshan, she definitely does not dare to act rashly.
But once Rulai leaves Lingshan, she will inevitably be ready to move, and the vast majority of the gods in Lingshan are not her opponents, only Guanyin Bodhisattva, who is known as the teacher of the Seven Buddhas, is enough to fight with it, and because of this, every time Rulai leaves, Guanyin Bodhisattva will stay to guard Lingshan. What do you think?
