Some time ago, Xiaowen (pseudonym) of Nanhai Guanyao suffered losses due to fraud impersonating express customer service, so she searched for "how to recover the defrauded money" on the Internet. Later, when she was watching a short video, she received an advertisement for "high-tech money chasing". Seeing that the platform took the initiative to push, she decided to "give it a try".
The advertisement "customer service" claims that they have "special means" to help "hack" into the scammer's bank account and recover the money that Xiaowen lost before, but they need to pay a "service fee" first.
After paying the 50 yuan "service fee", the "customer service" asked Xiaowen to add a QQ as a "messenger of justice" to help him solve the problem. After adding friends, the "Messenger of Justice" had a seemingly "professional" conversation with Xiaowen, asking him to provide transfer records, confirm the amount of fraud, etc., but in the end, he asked Xiaowen to submit a "technical fee" of 950 yuan. Because the other party's rhetoric seems very "formal", Xiaowen feels that there must be a drama in recovering the fraudulent money this time. But when Xiaowen transferred money to this "messenger of justice", the other party instantly blocked him, and Xiaowen realized that he had been deceived again. On August 23, Xiaowen came to the Guanyao Police Station of the Nanhai Branch of the Foshan Municipal Public Security Bureau to report the case, and the case is currently under investigation.

1. "Enthusiastic netizens" provide "help"
Once you post a request for help online, you may receive a variety of replies from "enthusiastic netizens":
The enthusiasm of netizens does not stop there, they will also give you a contact information, saying that this "hacker" helped him recover:
In fact, "enthusiastic netizens" are often just the "trust" of scammers, the so-called "hackers" are also scammers disguise, and the so-called "technical means recovery" are just a cover used by scammers to defraud "technical fees" and "handling fees". 2. The "legal consulting agency" helps to "recover" the scammer will disguise himself as a "legal consulting agency" and induce the addition of disguised QQ such as "recovery center" through verbal tricks. After the victim sends the evidence of being deceived, the other party will send a screenshot to prompt "successful recovery", but the funds are "frozen" and need to be recharged VIP to unfreeze, once the belief is true, he will be deceived again.
3. The "police" also come to "help"
During the search process, the scammer's fake "police" advertisement, contact information, etc. may also pop up. Once contacted, it is easy to be confused by the other party's "professional" avatar, name and other modifications.
The "police" will claim that they have successfully frozen the scammer's account, but if they want to "recover" the funds, they also need to "drive the funds", and once the transfer is made, they will be deceived.
The police reminded that those who ask for transfers and payments in online private chat on the grounds of handling fees, loss recovery fees, and safe accounts are all scams! Please don't believe in online messages, once you encounter fraud, the most correct way to deal with it is to keep the evidence and call the police for help as soon as possible!
