On October 17, Wuda District held a lecture on the popularization of science and protection knowledge of Permian vegetation fossils in Wuda. Zhou Weiming, associate researcher of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to give a lecture.
Focusing on the three aspects of geological and historical background, research progress, development and protection, and combined with his own work practice, Zhou Weiming told everyone about the relevant knowledge of paleontological fossils from shallow to deep through detailed information and vivid examples.
This lecture not only improved everyone's awareness and understanding, but also enhanced everyone's awareness of conservation and familiarized them with the conservation methods of paleontological fossils. In the next step, Wuda District will continue to carry out various forms of conservation publicity activities, and strive to create a good atmosphere for the whole society to care, support and participate in the protection of paleontological fossils.
