Call for Papers for the Special Issue of Earth Observation with Imaging Spectroscopy of Journal of Surveying and Mapping (English Edition).

🔷Background | 背景

Spectral imaging for Earth observation is an advanced interdisciplinary research field at the forefront of remote sensing, geoscience, and information technology. It continues to develop and make breakthroughs in theoretical development, technological innovation, and industrial applications. In the era of rapid development in artificial intelligence and spectral imaging technology, the acquisition and processing of hyperspectral remote sensing information have become more intelligent. By integrating multi-source spatio-spectral-temporal data with geoscience mechanisms and artificial intelligence, it is possible to achieve more refined, accurate, and continuous earth observation capabilities, and lead to a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of the complex natural phenomena and human activities in the environment. Currently, advanced and intelligent remote sensing processing technologies such as multispectral and hyperspectral image processing are deeply applied in fields such as deep space exploration, resource investigation, agricultural development, ecological and environmental protection, and social sustainability, and play a significant role in supporting national key development strategies.

To timely and comprehensively capture the advanced technologies in spectral imaging for earth observation, we seek contributions focusing on hyperspectral imaging mechanisms, instruments and systems, and intelligent processing for hyperspectral remote sensing images. These applications are being focused on, such as urban, atmospheric, aquatic, terrestrial, marine, deep space resource monitoring and related topics.

Earth observation by imaging spectroscopy is a cutting-edge interdisciplinary discipline in many fields such as remote sensing, geoscience, and information, and has made breakthroughs and flourished in many aspects such as theoretical development, technological innovation, and industrial application. In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence and imaging spectroscopy technology, the acquisition and processing of hyperspectral remote sensing information is more intelligent, combined with multi-source time-space-spectrum data, and the integration of geoscience mechanism and artificial intelligence, which can obtain more refined, accurate and continuous earth observation capabilities, and more comprehensively and systematically understand the complex natural and human phenomena of the earth's environment. At present, advanced and intelligent multispectral, hyperspectral and other remote sensing processing technologies have been deeply applied in the fields of deep space exploration, resource survey, rural agricultural development, ecological environmental protection, and sustainable social development, and play an important role in serving major national development strategies.

In order to reflect the advanced technology of imaging spectroscopy for earth observation in a timely and concentrated manner, this special issue warmly invites researchers at home and abroad to submit papers on resource monitoring and related topics in the fields of urban, atmospheric, aquatic, land, ocean, deep space, etc., focusing on the mechanism of imaging spectroscopy, imaging spectroscopy instruments and systems, and intelligent processing methods of hyperspectral data.
