Wary! Dengue fever can be contagious without seeing each other

Severe development can be fatal

Dengue fever is a type of dengue virus that is caused by dengue virus

caused by acute vector-borne diseases

Due to the severe pain

It is also known as "broken bone fever"

Dengue fever is transmitted through the bite of the vector Aedes mosquito. Dengue patients, occult infections, and non-human primates carrying the virus are the main sources of dengue infection. People are generally susceptible, but some people do not develop the disease (called latent infection).

The incubation period of dengue fever is generally 1~14 days, and most of them are 5~8 days. Sick and asymptomatic infections are the main sources of infection. The patient is contagious from 1 day before to 5 days after the onset of illness.

There are also some people who do not get sick after being infected with dengue virus, but the virus is present in the blood of people and can also transmit the virus to other people through the Aedes mosquito. In addition to dengue fever, diseases transmitted by mosquito bites include Japanese encephalitis, malaria, yellow fever, filariasis, Zika virus disease and chikungunya.

It is especially important for patients with dengue fever to be identified as early as possible, as it is too easy to confuse it with a cold in the early stages of the disease.

The typical symptoms of dengue fever are "high fever, three pains, three reds" + rash.

  • High fever: sudden high fever (above 40°C);
  • Three pains: severe headache, generalized joint pain, muscle aches;
  • Three reds: face red, neck red, chest red;
  • Rash: Congestive or punctate hemorrhagic rash on the limbs, trunk, head and face.

If members of the public have stayed in dengue-endemic countries or regions in the past two weeks, or have dengue fever cases in the communities or streets where they live and live, they should consider the possibility of dengue fever-related symptoms such as fever, rash and muscle and joint pain, seek medical treatment in a regular hospital as soon as possible, cooperate with dengue fever-related testing, and take mosquito prevention and isolation measures (i.e. to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes again) to prevent further spread.

Everyone must be vigilant!!

Especially those who live near mosquito "black spots",

Be careful!

If you have any uncomfortable symptoms, please seek medical attention in time.

and report to the community at the same time.

There is currently no specific drug

Guangzhou CDC: Avoiding mosquito bites is the key to prevention

1. Clean up the stagnant water in and around the house and keep the environment clean and tidy. For example, if the aquatic plants are regularly changed and the bottle is washed or changed to soil culture, avoid stagnant water in the bottom layer of the pot.

2. Try to wear light-colored long-sleeved clothes and trousers when going out, reduce skin exposure, and apply mosquito repellent on exposed skin.

3. Install screen doors and windows, and use mosquito nets, mosquito coils and/or electric mosquito repellent and other mosquito control products.

4. Reduce going out during the peak period of mosquito bites (7-10 a.m. and 4-7 p.m.), and if you need to go out, try to avoid staying too long in the shade of trees, grass or other dark and damp places where mosquitoes are used to inhabiting.

At present, there is no specific drug for dengue fever, and treatment focuses on pain control, timely hydration, prevention of bleeding, and early mosquito isolation.

If you accidentally get infected with dengue virus, don't panic too much. Patients with dengue fever generally have a good prognosis and can basically recover after timely treatment, but there are also a few reports of deaths in severe cases.

If you have a recent history of work or travel abroad or outside the province, you should also take the initiative to inform the doctor and cooperate with dengue fever-related testing.
