In order to further strengthen the classification and collection of kitchen waste and waste edible oils and fats in Jingxi Street, as well as strengthen the pollution prevention and control management of catering establishments, and fight the battle of pollution prevention and control in depth, on October 12, the staff of Jingxi Street Municipal Office in Baiyun District, Guangzhou City went to Yunjing Community, Hengjun Community, and Jinghai Community to sign an agreement on the collection and transportation of food waste.
The purpose of the agreement is to clarify the responsibilities and obligations of each catering unit in the classification and collection of food waste and waste edible oils, so as to ensure that these wastes are properly disposed of and reduce environmental pollution. At the same time, through the signing of the agreement, the communication and cooperation between the government and catering units have also been strengthened, and the in-depth development of community environmental protection work has been jointly promoted.
In the process of signing the agreement, the staff of the Jingxi Street Municipal Office explained in detail to the catering units the importance of the classified delivery and collection of kitchen waste and waste edible oils, as well as the relevant laws, regulations and policy requirements. They stressed that catering units, as the main producers of kitchen waste and waste edible oils, should assume corresponding social responsibilities and actively cooperate with government departments to do a good job in sorting and collecting.
