The 2024 Tour of Chongming Island International Self-Union Women's Road World Tour will be held in Chongming from October 15 to 17. In order to create a comfortable and comfortable track environment for the participants, the District Transportation Committee is solidly promoting the repair of road sections and road cleaning, and temporarily dismantling some guardrails along the track to escort the success of the event.
At 9 o'clock in the morning, in the section of Limin Road on Ximen Road, the staff was temporarily removing the guardrails on both sides of the road.
The reporter learned that in order to ensure the safety of the participants during the competition, from October 8, the District Transportation Committee temporarily dismantled four types of facilities along the track, such as guardrails, speed bumps, and flexible reflective columns. Up to now, the guardrails, red and white warning poles, etc. have all been removed.
In the early stage, in accordance with the requirements of the event, the District Transportation Committee formulated a maintenance plan for the potholes, cracks and other problems on some roads, and repaired them as soon as possible. In the next step, the District Transportation Committee will strengthen the inspection of the maintenance company, requiring all competition roads to be inspected and cleaned at least once a day to ensure the smooth holding of the event.
The relevant person in charge said that after the successful conclusion of the Women's World Tour around Chongming Island, the relevant departments will restore the dismantled isolation fences and other facilities in a timely manner to ensure the safety of citizens.
