"It takes about 1 hour for a standard EMU to be overhauled, and in this hour, you need to be highly concentrated, to check the running part and three boards under the car, and confirm the status of each bolt and each component as far as the eye can see." Early in the morning of October 2, Zhang Yajun, secretary of the Party branch of the "XSZF-1 bid section of the Shaanxi section of the West 10 High-speed Railway" project of China Railway Construction Engineering Group, received a call from his son's hometown in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province. During the National Day, he originally planned to go home and chat with his children who had just joined the work to talk about career planning, but after learning that the construction schedule was advanced, he took the initiative to give up his vacation and chose to continue to stick to his post.
After a few brief greetings on the phone, Zhang Yajun put on a hard hat, changed into work clothes, and walked into the construction line to start the inspection work.
On the same day, the workers were building and welding part of the infrastructure in the station building, and Zhang Yajun would squat down to carefully inspect the welding quality every time he went to a welding site, and then touch each weld with his hand to feel the flatness of the weld. When encountering defects, he will immediately ask the workers to re-work, and repeatedly tell everyone that the weld must reach 100% non-destructive pass rate.
Zhang Yajun is responsible for the "XSZF-1 Bid Section of Shaanxi Section of the West 10 High-speed Railway", which includes four station buildings: Lantian Station, Shangluoxi Station, Shanyang Station and Manchuanguan Station. Among them, the construction of Shangluoxi Station is the project with the tightest construction period, the most difficult and the largest number of construction personnel in the whole project. At present, 70% of the foundation construction of Shangluoxi Station has been completed, and the remaining works must be completed by the end of this year.
