Admissions Principles
The enrollment of master's students in our university adheres to the guidance of major national needs, aims to support the integration of education, science and technology, and talents, and comprehensively supports the construction of a strong country in education based on the principles of on-demand enrollment, comprehensive measurement, merit-based admission, and preference for shortage rather than indiscriminateness.
Three
Type of Enrollment:
Our university recruits full-time and part-time master's students. Full-time and part-time master's students can obtain graduation certificates and degree certificates after completing their studies, and for detailed policies, please refer to the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Coordinating the Management of Full-time and Part-time Graduate Students (Teaching and Research Office [2016] No. 2).
1. Full-time master's degree students
(1) Full-time master's degree students refer to those who meet the national regulations on the enrollment of master's students, pass the entrance examination for master's students or other admission methods recognized by the state, and are admitted to institutions of higher learning or other higher education institutions with the qualifications to implement graduate education, and study full-time at the university within the basic study period or the study period specified by the university.
(2) The employment methods of full-time master's degree students include non-directed employment and directed employment. Except for the "Shanghai Medical Professional Degree Master's Degree Combination Program with Standardized Resident Training" and the "High-level Backbone Talents of Ethnic Minorities", all other full-time graduate students are non-directed employment, that is, personnel relations and personnel files must be transferred to Tongji University at the time of admission, and employment will be arranged by the university according to the two-way choice between the applicant and the employer.
(3) The full-time graduate employment method of the "Shanghai Medical Professional Degree Master's Education and Standardized Training for Resident Doctors" is directed employment, that is, the targeted employment contract is signed with the enrollment unit and the employer respectively before being admitted, the personnel relationship and personnel files are not transferred to Tongji University, the medical insurance for college students in Shanghai is not participated in during the study period, the school does not arrange accommodation, is not included in the scholarship system, and graduates are not included in the employment plan.
(4) Candidates of the "High-level Backbone Talent Program for Ethnic Minorities" shall be implemented according to the agreement of the year of admission.
2. Part-time graduate students
(1) Part-time graduate students refer to those who meet the national regulations on the enrollment of master's students, pass the entrance examination for master's students or other admission methods recognized by the state, and are admitted to colleges and universities or other institutions of higher education with the qualifications to carry out postgraduate education.
(2) Except for the special plan, part-time graduate students will not accept fresh undergraduate graduates to apply for the examination, and the employment method will be directed employment, that is, they will sign a targeted employment contract with the enrollment unit and the employer respectively before being admitted, and the personnel relations and personnel files will not be transferred to Tongji University, and they will not participate in the medical security of Shanghai college students during their studies, and the school will not arrange accommodation, will not be included in the scholarship system, and graduates will not be included in the employment plan.
Four
Prerequisites
1. Citizens of the People's Republic of China.
2. Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, be of good moral character, and abide by the law.
3. Be physically and mentally healthy, and meet the physical examination requirements stipulated by the state and our school.
4. Candidates must meet one of the following conditions in their academic level:
(1) Fresh undergraduate graduates whose academic qualifications are recognized by the state (including fresh undergraduate graduates from ordinary universities, adult colleges and universities, and adult higher education held by ordinary universities) and self-study examinations and online education can graduate undergraduate students at that time. Candidates must obtain a nationally recognized undergraduate graduation certificate or a Certificate of Foreign Academic Qualifications issued by the Service Center for Scholarly Study of the Ministry of Education before admission, otherwise the admission qualification will be invalid.
(2) Persons with a bachelor's degree recognized by the state.
(3) Those who have obtained a nationally recognized higher vocational college graduation degree for 2 years or more (from graduation to September 1, 2025 of the year of admission, the same below) or more than 2 years, as well as undergraduate graduates with nationally recognized academic qualifications, and meet the specific academic requirements of the enrollment unit for candidates according to the training objectives of the unit, shall apply for the examination according to the same academic ability of the undergraduate graduate, please refer to the remarks in the catalog of each enrollment major of our university for details.
(4) Those who have obtained a master's degree or a doctoral degree.
(5) Graduate students must obtain the consent of their training unit before registration, and submit the certificate of "consent to apply" of their training unit to the Graduate Admissions Office of our university before confirming the deadline on the registration website.
5. In addition to meeting the above conditions 1, 2 and 3, candidates applying for the full-time direction of Business Administration (major code: 125100) must meet one of the following conditions: 1) 3 years of bachelor's degree (from the date of graduation to the date of admission in the year of admission, the same below) or more than 3 years from the bachelor's degree recognized by the state; 2) Graduated from a higher vocational college or a bachelor's degree recognized by the state for 5 years or more; 3) Have obtained a master's degree or doctoral degree for 2 years or more. At the same time, the relevant examination and enrollment policies for MBA professional degree students shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Further Standardizing the Education of MBA Professional Degree Graduates (Jiao Yan [2016] No. 2).
6. For candidates who apply for part-time enrollment majors, please refer to Appendix 1 "List of Application Conditions for Part-time Graduate Students" in [Read the original text at the end of the article] for specific application conditions.
7. Candidates who apply for Clinical Medicine (the first 4 digits of the major code is 1051) and Stomatology (the first 4 digits of the major code are 1052) must meet the requirements of the "Tongji University 2025 Enrollment Guide for the Program of Combining Medical Professional Degree Postgraduate Education and Standardized Training for Resident Doctors".
8. Candidates who apply for the admission major by independent examination must meet the requirements of the "Tongji University 2025 Enrollment Guide for Admission of Graduate Students by Individual Examination".
9. In addition to meeting the above conditions 1, 2, 3 and 4, candidates who apply for the "High-level Backbone Talents Program for Ethnic Minorities" of the Ministry of Education must be approved by the provincial education administrative department where the student or work is located. The clinical medicine professional degree, stomatology professional degree and part-time major in the enrollment major catalog of our university do not accept candidates for the "Minority High-level Backbone Talent Program".
10. Candidates who apply for the special program of "Retired College Students and Soldiers" should be college students who have been conscripted into the army and retired from active service, and who meet the requirements for applying for master's degree ("college students" refer to full-time ordinary undergraduate and junior college (including higher vocational), graduate students, and second bachelor's degree graduates, current students and new students, as well as ordinary undergraduate and junior college (higher vocational) graduates, current students and new students enrolled in adult colleges and universities, the same below). Candidates should choose to fill in the special plan for retired college students and soldiers when registering, and fill in their enrollment information before enlistment, enlistment, retirement and other relevant information as required, and provide the "Enlistment Approval" and "Retirement Certificate" to our school for review before the retest.

Six
Registration Procedure
The registration consists of two stages: online registration and online confirmation.
1. Online registration
The registration website is China Graduate Admissions Information Network (https://yz.chsi.com.cn).
Online registration time: October 15-28, 2024, 9:00-22:00 every day
Online pre-registration time: 9:00-22:00 every day from October 9 to October 12, 2024
According to the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, candidates should choose the registration center designated by the provincial education enrollment examination management agency where their study, work or household registration is located to go through the online registration and online confirmation procedures. In principle, fresh undergraduate graduates should choose the application center designated by the provincial education enrollment examination agency where the school is located, and the fresh undergraduate graduates of adult colleges and universities can also choose the application center designated by the provincial education enrollment examination agency where the teaching point is located; Candidates for the individual examination should choose the registration center designated by the provincial education enrollment examination agency where the enrollment unit is located; Other candidates (including candidates with professional degrees in business administration, public administration, engineering management, etc.) should choose the registration center designated by the provincial education admissions examination agency where they work or where their household registration is located (the relevant specific requirements shall be determined by the local provincial education admissions examination agency according to local conditions).
During the registration period, candidates can modify the online registration information or fill in the registration information again, but each candidate can only keep one valid registration information. Late registration information cannot be modified.
During the registration period, the candidates' academic qualifications (student status) information will be verified online, and candidates can check the results of the academic qualifications (student status) online. Candidates can log in to the "China Higher Education Student Information Network" (website: https://www.chsi.com.cn) to check their academic qualifications (student status) information before or during the registration period.
Candidates who fail to pass the verification of academic qualifications (student status) should go to the authoritative certification agency for academic status in time for certification, and submit the certification report to our school for verification during the re-examination.
Candidates who meet the prescribed conditions and apply for the preferential examination bonus points and other care policies must fill in the relevant information when registering online, and it will take effect after being reviewed and approved by the relevant departments. Those who fail to declare in accordance with the provisions will not enjoy the corresponding care or bonus policies.
Candidates should carefully understand and strictly follow the application conditions and relevant policy requirements, and choose to fill in the application according to their actual situation and the requirements of our school's enrollment regulations. If the candidate cannot be confirmed, tested (including the preliminary examination and re-examination) or admitted online due to non-compliance with the application conditions and relevant policy requirements, the consequences shall be borne by the candidate himself.
Candidates should fill in the personal online registration information accurately and provide authentic materials as required. If the candidate is unable to take the test or be admitted due to filling in the wrong information or filling in false information in the online report, the candidate shall bear the consequences.
After successful online registration, candidates should take the initiative to understand the online confirmation and examination arrangements by regularly checking the official websites of provincial education enrollment examination institutions, application centers, and enrollment units, and actively cooperate to complete relevant work.
Candidates should pay the registration fee according to the regulations.
2. Confirm online
The online confirmation time shall be determined and announced by each provincial education enrollment examination agency according to the national enrollment work arrangement and the local application organization, and the specific confirmation work shall be organized and implemented by the relevant application center.
Candidates should actively cooperate with the registration center and submit relevant supplementary materials as required according to the verification work. Candidates shall pay the registration fee according to the regulations, and cooperate with the collection of their own images and other relevant electronic information according to the regulations of the registration center. Candidates must sign the "Candidate Integrity Test Commitment" and abide by the relevant agreements and requirements when registering.
All candidates are required to carefully check and confirm their online registration information. The registration information confirmed by the candidates will not be modified during the examination (including the preliminary examination and the re-examination) or the admission stage, and all the consequences caused by the candidates' filling errors shall be borne by the candidates.
3. Printing of the admission ticket
About 10 days before the examination, candidates who have been confirmed by our university can log in to the China Graduate Admissions Information Network to download and print the "Admission Ticket" with their online user name and password. The "Admission Ticket" should be printed on A4 white paper, and the front and back sides should not be altered or written during use. Candidates can take the preliminary and re-examination with the downloaded and printed "Admission Ticket" and a valid resident ID card.
4. Other Notes
(1) Candidates who apply for the "Sino-French School of Engineering and Management" should first select the relevant department when registering, and then apply for the Sino-French class of the relevant major in the re-examination stage.
(2) Candidates who are willing to apply for the Sino-German cooperation program should choose the corresponding major or research direction of the relevant college (School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Automotive) when registering.
(3) Candidates who apply for "Intellectual Property (WIPO WIPO Program, English Course)" can choose all majors of Shanghai International Intellectual Property Institute (College Code: 320) when registering, and then apply for Intellectual Property (WIPO Program) class in the re-examination stage.
(4) Fresh undergraduate graduates and undergraduate candidates who can graduate from self-study examinations and online education at that time, and who have not obtained a nationally recognized undergraduate graduation certificate at the time of admission, will be disqualified.
(5) Those who have been accepted by our school for recommended exemption from the examination are not allowed to register for the national examination.
(6) The National College of Outstanding Engineers of our university will implement dual registration and joint training of professional colleges and national excellent engineering colleges in combination with the specific direction of admitted candidates.
Seven
Initial attempt
1. Preliminary examination time: December 21, 2024 ~ December 22, 2024 (8:30-11:30 a.m., 14:00-17:00 p.m. every day).
2. Preliminary examination location: will be notified separately by each registration center.
Eight
Retest
After the results of the preliminary examination are announced, our school will formulate the school score line with reference to the spirit of the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education. According to the plan of each enrollment major, the candidates' test scores and the proportion of the difference in the re-examination, each college will determine the re-examination score line of each major and the list of candidates who will enter the re-examination on the basic score line of the school, and publish the re-examination arrangements of each enrollment department on the graduate admissions website (https://yz.tongji.edu.cn) of Tongji University.
1. Re-examination time: mid-to-late March 2025 (specific time to be determined).
2. Re-examination content: including foreign language speaking and listening, professional foreign language, professional courses and professional comprehensive. The content, form and proportion of the examination in the re-examination stage shall be determined by each college in conjunction with the discipline and professional committee according to the actual situation of each major. The content of the examination shall be determined in combination with the requirements of professional training, knowledge and ability assessment. The examination can be in the form of an oral examination or a combination of a written and oral examination, as detailed in the re-examination section of the professional catalogue of this charter.
3. Re-examination qualification review: Before the re-examination, the candidate's valid resident ID card, academic degree certificate (subject to the diploma obtained before the registration confirmation deadline), academic status verification results, student ID card and other original registration materials and candidates' qualifications will be reviewed. The notice of re-examination will be published through the Graduate Admissions Network (https://yz.tongji.edu.cn) of Tongji University, and no written notice will be sent.
Nine
Admission
1. Admission Procedure
(1) According to the results of the preliminary examination and the re-examination, combined with the overall quality of the candidates such as physical and mental health and the conclusion of the political examination, the best will be admitted.
(2) Those who have not passed the re-examination of our school, but have reached the score line of the re-examination of the preliminary examination subjects of the Ministry of Education, can be voluntarily transferred to other schools for admission.
(3) Candidates who intend to be admitted for non-targeted employment must transfer their personnel relations and personnel files to Tongji University, and send personnel files, organizational relations and other materials according to the relevant notices. Candidates who intend to be admitted for targeted employment should sign a targeted employment contract with the enrollment unit and the employer respectively before being admitted, and their personnel relations and personnel files will not be transferred to Tongji University, and they will not participate in the medical insurance for college students in Shanghai during their studies, and the university will not arrange accommodation, and graduates will not be included in the employment plan.
(4) Candidates must undergo a physical examination when enrolling, and their physical condition should meet the physical examination standards stipulated by the state (the same as the "Guiding Opinions on Physical Examination for Enrollment in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" (Teaching [2003] No. 3), the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education and the General Office of the Ministry of Health on Issues Concerning the Cancellation of Hepatitis B Testing for Students Enrolled in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" (Teaching Office [2010] No. 2)) and relevant regulations of our university. Those who fail to meet the physical examination standards for college admissions will be disqualified.
2. Tuition and Scholarships
(1) In accordance with the spirit of the executive meeting of the State Council, starting from the fall semester of 2014, tuition fees will be charged to all newly admitted graduate students who are included in the national enrollment plan. The tuition fee standard is subject to the record of the Price Bureau of the year of admission, and the tuition standard can be referred to the website of Tongji University (website: http://xxgk.tongji.edu.cn/index.php?classid=3176). In 2025, the tuition fee standard for master's degree students under the separate filing fee system is shown in Appendix 2 in [Read the original text at the end of the article], and the tuition fee will be charged according to the total tuition fee. The tuition fee for other majors is 8,000 yuan/academic year.
(2) Tongji University has a complete scholarship and assistance system for non-targeted employment academic degree students and non-directed employment professional degree master's degree students. All non-directed employment academic degree master's students and non-directed employment professional degree master's students who are included in the scholarship and aid system can receive a full academic scholarship of 8,000 yuan/academic year after enrollment. Master's students who are included in the scholarship system can also receive a stipend of no less than 600 yuan/month, which will be paid for 10 months every year. In addition, graduate students who are included in the scholarship and financial aid system can apply for teaching assistants and assistant management positions, and can receive additional funding after being hired. All non-directed employment master's degree students are included in the basic medical insurance for urban residents in Shanghai during their studies, and can apply for national student loans and participate in the evaluation of relevant special scholarships.

Academic
1. The duration of full-time master's degree is generally 2.5 years (2 years for master's degree in translation, 2 years for MBA, 3 years for landscape architecture, biology, law, medical school enrollment and stomatology school enrollment majors, and the special program for specific requirements shall be implemented as required, and the duration of each major in the special program of the College of Outstanding Engineers is 3 years).
2. The duration of part-time master's degree is generally 3 years.

1. Graduate students admitted to the category of non-targeted employment can apply for accommodation, and graduate students with targeted employment under the "High-level Backbone Talent Program for Ethnic Minorities" can apply for accommodation, which is strictly implemented in accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Student Accommodation of Tongji University. Graduate students who are admitted to other categories of targeted employment are not eligible to apply for accommodation.
2. The enrollment plan published by our university on the China Graduate Admissions Information Network is for reference only. The specific enrollment number will be appropriately adjusted according to the actual enrollment plan issued by the Ministry of Education, the actual number of master's students admitted and exempted, the source of online students in each major, and the development needs of the school's disciplines.
3. Majors with "5" and "6" in the 3rd digit of the major code in the "2025 Tongji University Master's Program Catalogue and Subjects for Preliminary and Re-examination Subjects" are professional degrees.
4. Our school does not hold any form of pre-exam tutorial classes, and does not provide past exam questions and review materials.
5. The self-proposed subjects of our school are all based on the syllabus of the undergraduate program, and some subjects are provided with examination syllabus.
6. Information about the rules and regulations of the management of graduate students, fees and other information can be found on the official website of Tongji University (www.tongji.edu.cn).
7. Since 2012, the training of master's degree students in business administration (including business management and technical economics and management) has adopted a new program, candidates must have a good level of English, and the teaching method of teaching in English during the master's degree is adopted, and domestic students and foreign students take classes in the same class, so as to cultivate high-level international management talents.
8. Candidates are not allowed to forge relevant certificates. If it is found to be fraudulent, it will be disqualified from the examination, admission or student status.
9. If there is any change in the enrollment information, please refer to the enrollment regulations, major catalog, content of the preliminary and re-examination and related information published on the Graduate Admissions Website (https://yz.tongji.edu.cn) of our university during the registration period.
10. The regulations for the 2025 acceptance of recommended graduate students (including direct doctoral studies) have been announced separately, please pay attention to the graduate admissions website (https://yz.tongji.edu.cn).
If there is any conflict between this charter and the regulations of the Ministry of Education on the enrollment of graduate students for master's degree in 2025, it will be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education.
