The Porseleinen Hof residential complex is located at the westernmost end of the Spoorzone, also known as Nieuw Delft, and is one of the cornerstones of the city's development. The PORSELEINEN HOF residential complex consists of the Porseleinen Toren tower with a series of podiums accessed directly from the ground floor. Through the interconnection and harmony of the two volumes, in addition to the high-quality residences, the project also provides residents with parking, car sharing, and a communal roof garden, thus creating a comfortable and diverse living environment in the heart of Delft.

"The sculptural façade of the tower is made of white glazed ceramic, a material that gives the building a dynamic and dynamic appearance from the perspective of the streetscape."

The Porseleinen Hof residential complex consists primarily of the Papsouwselaan podium and the Porseleinen Toren tower above, with towering towers that act as lighthouses to mark the gateway to the western side of the new Delft development. The sculptural tower, which is entirely white, shows the architectural character of a family home, and the façade is designed with partly glass and partly matte ceramic, making the building look different from all angles of the street.

A rational structure is the cornerstone of the project's design, with parking and bicycle parking facilities planned on the ground floor. The structural relationship between the two volumes clearly expresses the volume of the building, giving the building a sculptural effect, and at the same time clearly showing the different functional components of the building. The project is closely connected to its surroundings and complements the water features and greenery, which in turn harmoniously blends into the blue-green frame of the new district of Delft. In the "Delft Landscape" master plan designed by Palmbout, the project perfectly expresses the ambition of the design: "... A differentiated urban landscape that respects existing features rather than simply replicating them. ”

The entrances to the residences and studio apartments in the tower section of the Porseleinen Toren are located at the block level, as is the ground floor space bordering the parking lot. F&B facilities are housed in the Papsouwselaan podium, which not only have an attractive design but also provide convenient dining services for the community and residents, activating the surrounding streets and nearby parks.

At the heart of the tower is an airy atrium around which studio apartments are surrounded by corridors where people can meet and gather, and natural light can penetrate deep into the building through the skylights of the atrium. The chimney-like structure and the communal rooftop garden with a sky bar on the fourth floor encourage interaction and exchange. In addition to rooftop gardens, many apartments also have their own outdoor spaces, including balconies or roof terraces.

The 17 residences, which enter directly from the ground floor, are equipped with spacious roof gardens that sit above the shared car park. The linear logic of the building mass is broken by façade recesses, different fenestration positions, and bay windows. In order to enhance the plasticity of the exterior, the roofs of some residences have been extended, further enhancing the sculptural sense of the façade.

The façade of the Porseleinen Hof residential complex is constructed of ceramic tiles, with a detachable façade system with small-scale tiles, which reduces the use of materials and allows the façade materials to be fully recycled. In order to reduce the environmental impact of the building, the non-load-bearing façade of the building is made of a timber system. In addition, the Porseleinen Toren tower features an innovative EQw unit that extracts heat from the air for heating and cooling the interior spaces. Solar panels are installed on the different roofs, roof gardens increase biodiversity, help store rainwater, and birds nest on the building's façade. A shared car is available in the garage near the family home and is accessible to all residents.
