Guangzhou, 16 Sep (China News Service) -- The 34th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress was held in Guangzhou on 16 September.
The meeting voted to appoint Duan Yufei as vice chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province; appointed Li Yalin as vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Ethnic and Religious Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province; decided to dismiss Duan Yufei from his post as director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, and decided to appoint Zhu Hong as director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.
After completing the agenda of the meeting, the Meeting of Directors of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress organized newly appointed staff of state organs to swear an oath to the Constitution.
According to the official website of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, Zhu Hong, male, Han ethnicity, born in September 1966, Yiwu, Zhejiang, began working in September 1982, joined the Communist Party of China in March 1986, doctoral degree, doctor of medicine.
Zhu Hong once served as the deputy director of the Medical Education Department of the Southern Hospital of the First Military Medical University, the vice president and researcher of the Southern Hospital of the Southern Medical University, the director of the Guangdong Medical Academic Exchange Center, the former member of the Party Group of the Guangdong Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, and the director of the Cadre Health Bureau. In July 2017, Zhu Hong became the Party Secretary of the Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, and in August this year, he was transferred to the Party Group of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.
In September 2020, Zhu Hong won the title of "National Advanced Individual in Fighting the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic". According to media reports, on the evening of February 10, 2020, Zhu Hong, then secretary of the Party Committee of the Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, took the initiative to ask for battle, and as the deputy commander of the Guangdong Support Jingzhou Medical Team, led 126 team members to Honghu City, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, to fight the epidemic.
