On 16 September, the 34th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Provincial People's Congress was held in Guangzhou. Li Yumei, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting, and luo Juan, Lu Yesheng, Wang Yanshi, Wang Xuecheng, and Wang Bo, members of the chairman's meeting, attended the meeting. Chen Rugui, member of the party leading group of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and Chen Liangxian, vice governor of the Provincial People's Government, attended the meeting as observers.
The meeting voted to approve the report of the Qualification Examination Committee of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth Provincial People's Congress on the qualifications of individual deputies and other decisions.
The meeting voted to appoint Duan Yufei as vice chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province; appointed Li Yalin as vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Ethnic and Religious Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province; decided to dismiss Duan Yufei from his post as director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, and decided to appoint Zhu Hong as director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.
After completing the agenda of the meeting, the Meeting of Directors of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress organized newly appointed staff of state organs to swear an oath to the Constitution.
