In today's issue, Hachi still wants to continue to talk to car friends about BYD's popular model "Song Pro DM-i", which is just the second generation, haha.
Let's start with sales. In August, BYD Dynasty sold 178,040 vehicles, and the cumulative sales from January to August exceeded 1.1 million, which is simply a bargain.
So in order to take it to the next level, the second-generation Song Pro DM-i is shining on the scene to help. This car is still a sister model to the Hiace 05DM-i of Ocean Net, and they will be launched together on September 23, isn't it very exciting?
The price of the 24 Song Pro DM-i is between 109,800 and 139,800 yuan, so what will be the price of this second-generation Song Pro DM-i? Let's guess.
Let's take a look at the actual car picture first, the front face design of the second-generation Song Pro DM-i is called a new one. The small trapezoidal grille is a blackened honeycomb element, which looks very textured.
The upper edge is connected by a blackened trim strip to the ultra-exaggerated "C" shaped air duct shape on both sides, coupled with the angular trapezoidal lower grille, this sense of hierarchy comes out at once.
Compared to the current Song Pro DM-i, the sporty atmosphere is much stronger. And it has also been replaced with a sharp, upward dragon claw style headlight cluster, which continues to be penetrated with chrome trim, coupled with the new prominent "nose", the visual impact of this front face is really rising.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height are 4735/1860/1710mm, and the wheelbase is 2712mm, which is basically the same as the current model.
The side of the body is still a classic element such as a down-pressed roof and a smooth dragon leap waistline. However, the chrome trim of the windows has been tweaked a little, and two new wheels have been replaced, which is a bit of a small surprise.
At the rear, the continuous dot matrix taillights are still there, but the "BYD" logo has been replaced in the middle. The redesigned rear surround is more concise and atmospheric, and there are also a variety of car colors such as Time Gray, Far Mountain Blue, Snow White, and Xuanwu Black, which gives everyone more room to choose.
The interior has undergone major changes, with a design language similar to that of the Song L DM-i. The straight center console is covered with a blackened trim panel, and the built-in full LCD instrument cluster looks very high-end.
The floating central control screen is still the DiLink4.0 intelligent network connection system, which must be very easy to use. The new car has a new amber brown interior, coupled with a large number of matte texture trim embellishments, and this sense of luxury is immediately there.
There is also a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel of the same style as the Song L DM-i, crystal electronic shift knob, luxury seats, etc., and the sense of grade is instantly improved.
In addition, the new car is also equipped with 50W wireless charging for mobile phones, ambient lighting, electric adjustment/ventilation/heating of the front seats, panoramic sunroof with sunshades, electric tailgate and other configurations, which are really rich and enviable.
In terms of power, the second-generation Song Pro DM-i is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology. What is this fifth-generation DM technology?
To put it simply, it is to make the car more powerful and more fuel-efficient. The 1.5-liter engine has a maximum output of 74 kW and a drive motor has a maximum output of 120 kW, which is the same as that of the Qin L DM-i.
Paired with a battery pack with a capacity of 18.316 kWh, it has a WLTC electric range of 93 km, a CLTC pure electric range of 115 km, and a fuel consumption of 4.9 liters/100 km.
This fuel consumption performance is really good, and it can save you a lot of fuel money. The chassis is still a rear three-link suspension, and the stability is still guaranteed.
So what are the advantages and disadvantages of this second-generation Song Pro DM-i? There are a lot of advantages, the appearance is more sporty and fashionable, the interior is full of luxury, the configuration is rich, the power is also good, and the fuel consumption is low.
The disadvantage may be that the chassis's rear three-link suspension may not perform so perfectly in some complex road conditions. But overall, it's a car worth looking forward to.
Ladies and gentlemen, what do you think of the second-generation Song Pro DM-i? How much is the right price? Come and leave a comment and talk to Hachi.
Let's look forward to its launch on September 23 and see how many surprises it can bring us. Hachi will also continue to pay attention to this car, and share new news with you as soon as possible.
