On September 13, Huating City held a breeding and release activity of Qinling Salmon in the Qinling Salmon National Germplasm Resources Reserve.
The release activity was organized by the Pingliang Animal Husbandry and Fishery Station, and the Huating Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau was specifically implemented, and the personnel of the Huating Notary Office were invited to supervise the variety, specification, quality and quantity of the release. The length of the seedlings is more than 5 cm, and the number reaches more than 25,000, which plays a positive role in promoting the expansion and multiplication of Qinling salmon and maintaining the balance of ecological waters.
Qinling salmon, commonly known as "plum fish", "five-color fish" and "cold water fish", is a residual species that moved south from the north during the ice age, belongs to the rare animals unique to the mainland, and is a national second-class protected wild aquatic animal. In order to better protect the Qinling salmon, since 2018, Huating City has declared the establishment of the "Gansu Huating Qinling Salmon National Aquatic Germplasm Resources Conservation Area".
