This is a movie with a unique flavor, Zhang Tiantian, who is in his 20s, plays the master of online emotional fraud, and Wu Junru, who is in his 50s, plays a middle-aged woman with a vacant relationship.
The runner-up was the Hollywood blockbuster "Strange Archmage" (Hong Kong translation of "The Beep Family"), which grossed HK$930,000 last week and accumulated HK$2.582 million in 11 days of release. This achievement not only marks the complete destruction of the film's desire to break 10 million Hong Kong dollars, but also means that the difficulty of breaking through 5 million Hong Kong dollars has doubled.
The third runner-up was the Hollywood blockbuster "Alien: Deadly Ship" (Hong Kong translation of "Alien: Romulus"), which grossed HK$891,000 last week and reached a total of HK$24.347 million in 32 days of release. This single-week result has dropped by about 60% compared with the previous week, which is obviously too large, and the goal of breaking HK$30 million is no longer possible.

In the past year, Chinese and foreign horror films have been released in Hong Kong, which has caused serious aesthetic fatigue, and it is reasonable that the box office of this film is not ideal.

In tenth place is the Korea film "Pilot" (Hong Kong translation "Male Female Pilot"), which grossed 197,000 Hong Kong dollars last week and accumulated 2.666 million Hong Kong dollars in 32 days of release. The box office of this movie has not been ideal, but it can always be among the list with the "most cost-effective" box office figures, and even the number of weeks on the list has now ranked first among Korean films in 2024.
To sum up, for the first time since the summer, Chinese-language films have surpassed the number of Hollywood films on the weekly box office list and box office amount in Hong Kong. Considering the further shrinkage of the local box office, this is hardly good news.
