At 9:00 on September 6, with the G9505 and G9508 trains leaving Hangzhou West Railway Station and Wenzhou North Railway Station at the same time, it marks the official opening of the Hangzhou-Yiwu-Wenzhou high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as the "Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway"), the main traffic artery connecting the north and south of Zhejiang.
It is understood that the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway leads from Hangzhou Tonglu East Station, passes through Jinhua City, Taizhou City, Wenzhou City, introduces Wenzhou North Station, and extends to Wenzhou South Railway Station through the existing Hangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, with a total length of 276 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the opening of operation, the fastest 1 hour and 27 minutes from Hangzhou west to Wenzhou north will further improve the layout of the regional railway network, facilitate the travel of the people along the line, promote the development of tourism resources, and effectively serve the integrated and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta.

It is reported that according to the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan of the Yangtze River Delta Railway, by 2025, the "Yangtze River Delta on the track" will be basically completed, and the operating mileage of the Yangtze River Delta Railway will be nearly 16,700 kilometers, of which the high-speed rail mileage will be nearly 9,200 kilometers.
Since 2020, it has successfully completed the supply tasks of Shanghe-Hangzhou Railway, Changjinghuang Railway, Hangzhou-Qu Railway, Hangzhou-Shaotai Railway, South Yanjiang Railway and other trunk railways and intercity railways, with a total supply of more than 1,500 groups, including more than 500 groups of high-speed turnouts. At present, the turnout branch of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. is deeply involved in the construction of Jinjian Railway, Ningbo Hub Project and Shanghai Regional Railway Airport Liaison Line, contributing to the acceleration of the "Yangtze River Delta on the track".
