"This is one of the contents of a batch of precious land deeds received by the Jieyang Municipal Archives during the International Archives Day Publicity Week this year, and the contract time is the tenth day of the second month of the Gengchen year of the Republic of China.......

Mr. Zeng, the donor, said affectionately: "These title deeds were discovered while sorting out my father's relics, and after careful consideration, it was decided to donate them to the Municipal Archives. Archives have better storage conditions and can be passed on in perpetuity. ”

This batch of land deeds includes 5 in the Qing Dynasty and 3 in the Republic of China, spanning nearly 100 years from the third year of Xianfeng (1853) to the Gengchen year of the Republic of China (1940). These land transactions are detailed down to the boundaries, amounts, people present, and the time of entry. After careful identification of the contents of these eight land deeds, it can be seen that most of these long-standing contract documents are transaction documents of private land at home, and the landowners pawn and sell the land for silver due to the shortage of funds at hand.
