All school leaders attended. Zhang Xiaoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, attended and wore the school emblem for the freshman representatives. Chen Qian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school, delivered a welcome speech. Wei Kai, a representative of outstanding alumni, a 2004 graduate of the School of Economics and Management, and co-founder of Oriental Space, attended the event. Representatives of the parents of the freshmen, heads of various functional departments and colleges, freshman class teachers, military training instructors and all the freshmen of the class of 2024 attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Yin Jianping. More than 10,000 teachers, parents of new students, and alumni watched the live broadcast online.

After the ceremony, our school held a mobilization meeting for military training. Professor Yin Jianping, political commissar and vice president of the military training regiment of our university, read out the military training order for the 2024 students.
