The "Meet the Intangible Cultural Heritage" series displays and promotes the intangible cultural heritage items of Changbai with refined and creative production techniques, aiming to make Changbai's intangible cultural heritage "live" and "fire", and further improve the understanding of the beauty of Changbai intangible cultural heritage's skills, ingenuity, tradition and life.
In this issue, we would like to introduce to you the Korean hand clap dance, a representative project of the municipal intangible cultural heritage.
Through vivid body language, the Korean hand clapping dance expresses the hunting process of hunters trekking through mountains and rivers, observing the behavior of wild animals and birdsong, as well as the joy after hunting. The whole dance is rough and bold, the expressions of the characters are delicate, and the psychological expression is very tense, which is the prototype and origin of modern Korean dance, and it is an organic part of Changbai Mountain culture.
The original dance of the Korean hand clapping dance fully shows that the ancient ethnic minorities in the Yalu River basin have never stopped their exchanges with the Central Plains in all aspects of economy, culture and other aspects in the long history of thousands of years, it embodies the wisdom and blood and sweat of the ancient Korean working people, and is also the historical witness of the continuous exchanges and integration of the Central Plains culture and the culture of the border ethnic minorities.
