For thousands of years, countless pioneers have pursued a more convenient and perfect way of life with a desire for the future, which has led to the life we live today.

Just yesterday, the Singapore HDB released future design guidelines for 24 of Singapore's 24 municipalities for the first time, and it is even more gratifying that 13 of them have already made their plans come true! They are Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang, Kallang/Whampoa, Pasir Sha, Punggol, Queenstown, Tampines, Tengah, Toa Payoh, Woodlands and Yishun.

Queen's Town
It is necessary to build a village next to the railway track and an 800-meter canopy trail
Queenstown, the first satellite city built by the Housing and Development Board of Singapore, was designed under the theme of "Town Life in a Unique Manor".
The streets of Queenstown will be lined with plenty of recreational spaces and green spaces.
Near the railway corridor, a 10-storey community will be built to allow more people to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
There will also be an 800-metre-long circular canopy walkway near the HDB flats, where you can look out over the railway corridor from the bridge.
Lush landscaped and recreational parks will also be set up along the railway corridor to create a "village next to the railway".
The new HDB estates are also about bringing together natural beauty to create a liveable and sustainable community.
The park also retains a natural creek that serves as a habitat for animals. At the same time, it provides more residents with a green and healthy life.
White sands
Create a seaside resort town with 200 meters of winding paths
White Sands has always been a popular seaside destination, which is why HDB wants to make it a "seaside resort".
At Pasir Ris Drive, Singapore aims to create green corridors along the route to facilitate people's access.
Brazil 53rd Street, near Costa Grove, will feature a new 200-metre winding trail with new facilities such as a sensory garden, playground and fitness corner.
The corridor design complements the river channel.
Pasir Ris Town Centre will be transformed into a vibrant and important hub with new commercial and residential projects integrated into the bus interchange station.
On both sides of the road, a new urban oasis will be created, with a stepped design of the residences.
There is also a large open space right next to the city center for community events and gatherings. The various areas are connected by small green spaces.
The coastal area, surrounded by a mix of mangroves and shrubs, with wooden floors, makes for a cosy seaside resort.
Punggol
Create a new waterfront digital area and a 10-meter-wide landscape corridor
As Singapore's first eco-town and smart town, Punggol will be a model for future living in Singapore. With the theme of "water and nature", the construction of the town is closely linked to the construction of life.
The Punggol Digital Precinct, which will be integrated with the new campus of the Singapore Polytechnic and connected to the waterfront and public spaces, will provide a more attractive environment for working, living, playing and learning.
A 10-meter-wide landscaped corridor will be built along the river, providing an excellent place for everyone to enjoy recreational activities.
The Punggol Historical Trail, except for the existing part that has been converted into a pedestrian street, will be converted into a walking trail for all to stroll, jog and cycle at a leisurely pace.
The promenade will also integrate with neighbouring developments such as the Future Campus of the Singapore Institute of Technology and Design, the Housing and Development Board's business parks, and residential developments.

Tampines
It focuses on green traffic veins and a winding linear park
Tampines is shaped like a leaf, and its veins represent the various roads, railways, park links and bicycle networks that can be found throughout the town.
The Central Community Route will also introduce a variety of activities and community spaces, with green spaces as nodes to connect the context of the town.
Recreational corridors along the river, which connect town parks, and viaducts connecting ecological green belts and cycle paths, all offer an ecological experience for walking, cycling, and other leisure activities.
The residential area runs through the town, using the stems and veins of the leafy leaves as a connecting corridor, forming an integrated network of green spaces and connections that connect the various key areas of the town and form an interactive green landscape.
A new green spine will be created, Tampines Boulevard Park, a meandering, linear park with easy access to walking trails and adjacent residential areas.
The green will spread directly to your doorstep, and various landmarks, HDB flats, and all have a holstered green space or public control that forms a whole new green leaf.
On both sides of the street, there is also a network of lush green spaces, where hard structures such as concrete are covered with green, and green is used to soften them as much as possible to make them more comfortable for the senses.
Choa Chu Kang
Design new life along the river, build amusement trails, etc
Once a confluence of rivers, it has been cleverly used by HDB to create a "riverside home".
The area of the North-South Line subway viaduct will build more community space to enrich everyone's entertainment experience.
For example, more amusement facilities, platforms, etc. will be built along the river.
There will be green routes for activities such as jogging and cycling along the river, and a passage on the river will be considered for residents to walk.
The trees in the towns are also made of special species, which are vertically alternated to provide shade to the sidewalks and purify the flow of rainwater.
Various greening facilities will also be built.
Tengah
The artistic atmosphere is strong, and the development of forest parks is close to life
Tengah, as a "lush evergreen town", is built into a vibrant and complex ecosystem.
Tengah is full of art, with a variety of art designs and sculptures that make people feel artistic all the time.
The Farmers Market, which will be the first development in Tengah, will feature a Plantation Farm Road that connects the southern pond to the larger parkland space in the town centre.
A more complete garden will be built, with trees, flowers, shrubs, etc., which will create a lovely space.
The forest park in the center of the town will also provide a high quality of living environment for everyone, and the area can be reached with a variety of amenities.
Central Park will be offering lush green and blue spaces with ponds, rivers and green spaces.
Ang Mo Kio
Build friendly streets and make it easier for people to travel
Ang Mo Kio is home to a large green space and nature reserves such as the Central Catchment Area, as well as Punggol Park, and HDB has built a new township with the concept of "connecting nature and community".
The North-South Corridor (NSC) will realign at-grade lanes to create wider sidewalks, bike lanes, and more green space.
Ang Mo Kio Town Centre will also see the construction of connecting trails between the parks and stops for cyclists. For example, there will be a new ring road between Ang Mo Kio Park and Bishan-Punggol Park.
Ang Mo Kio Street 31 will launch a pilot friendly street to provide more convenience for people to pass. For example, the green light time is extended, the vehicle speed is reduced and the noise is reduced, and the sidewalk is more prominent.
Most of the public spaces adopt the natural green space model, and new small parks are built to make people's lives more relaxed.
Toa Payoh
With the ring road as the core, more green nodes will be built
Toa Payoh is HDB's first fully planned township, with its iconic ring road, which gives it a unique charm.
Immediately adjacent to the ring road is the ToaPayoh Tower and Dragon Playground, where more green spaces are created between these key nodes.
On both sides of the ring road, the existing dense trees will continue to give passers-by a better walking and cycling experience.
Hillside Gardens, a newly designed HDB estate, will be complemented by more green spaces and public facilities on both sides of the sidewalks to enhance the living experience.
