According to the semi-annual report of SAIC, the total operating income of SAIC in the first half of the year was 284.686 billion yuan, a decrease of 12.82% from the same period last year; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 6.628 billion yuan, down 6.45% from the same period last year; The net profit after deducting non-profits was 1.02 billion yuan, down 82.00% from the same period last year.
In the first half of this year, SAIC Motor sold 1.827 million vehicles in batches, and delivered 2.115 million vehicles.
According to the information disclosed in BYD's semi-annual report, BYD's operating income in the first half of this year was 301.127 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.76%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 13.631 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.44%; The net profit after deducting non-profits was 12.315 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.03%.
In terms of sales, BYD's cumulative sales in the first half of this year reached 1.613 million units, a year-on-year increase of 28%.
It can be seen that SAIC's sales in the first half of the year were about 500,000 units higher than BYD's, but its operating income and net profit both declined, while BYD's financial performance was good, both showing year-on-year growth.
In fact, the difference between the operating income of the two is not particularly large, but BYD's revenue of 301.127 billion yuan has created a net profit of 13.631 billion yuan, and SAIC's operating income of 284.686 billion yuan has only created a net profit of 6.628 billion yuan, which is only half of BYD's.
According to the data disclosed in SAIC's production and sales report, in January 2024, SAIC Motor's sales volume was 244,916 units, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%;
