At the 2024 Ghent Festival of Lights, we work our magic in a huge hangar. Our team turned this space into an underwater world. We unleash our creativity on this 73-metre-long canvas, using every inch of space to immerse visitors in a feast for the senses.
Walking underneath the transparent hologram fabric, you'll feel as if you're traveling underwater, surrounded by the illusion of a vast ocean. Holographic meshes that provide an immersive experience offer a unique perspective, projecting an intricate dance over the heads of passing people as schools of fish create visually synchronized spectacle. However, this serene scene is also full of suspense. The result is a fascinating interplay between tranquility and danger beneath the holographic waves. The ambient soundscapes created by Audiotheque are combined with the play of light and shadow in the surroundings to add an extra layer of atmosphere to the installation.
Dive into the depths of the ocean, where the beautiful underwater world meets the thrill of exhilaration, with giant sea creatures screaming above.
