Reader: Xiao Bingwen
Dear teachers, dear students, hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you a little story of a revolutionary hero.
On January 12, 1947, when the sky was overcast, the Kuomintang reactionaries surrounded the western village of Yunzhou, and because of the betrayal of the traitors, the young Communist Party member Liu Hulan was arrested and imprisoned in a temple.
The enemy wanted to buy Liu Hulan, so he said to her: "Tell me, who is a Communist Party member in the village, and name one to reward you with 100 yuan." Liu Hulan replied loudly: "I don't know!" The enemy threatened her again: "If you don't say anything, I will shoot you!" Liu Hulan replied angrily: "I don't know, I don't know!" The enemy couldn't get anything from Liu Hulan's mouth, and he beat Liu Hulan to the point of blood, Liu Hulan was like steel cast, and he didn't shake at all!
The enemy dragged Liu Hulan to the square at the entrance of the temple and killed the six arrested militiamen in front of her and the villagers. The enemy pointed to the bloody guillotine and said, "If you don't say anything, I'll kill you!" Liu Hulan puffed up her chest and said, "If you want to kill, you will be killed!" Afraid of death, not a Communist Party member!" She faced the whistling north wind, stepped on the blood of the martyrs and walked to the guillotine, Liu Hulan died gloriously, she was only 15 years old that year!
When Chairman Mao Zedong heard the news, he personally wrote an inscription for her - the greatness of life and the glory of death!
