However, many of the scary abnormalities in the medical examination report are not serious or even require treatment.
Let's 👇🏻 take a look at what they have to offer
01: Some HPV positive
If the gynecological examination is positive for HPV, don't panic just yet.
Not all HPV infections are associated with cervical cancer. Low-risk HPV causes genital warts and benign lesions; Don't be afraid, even if it's a high-risk type, for people with normal immunity, more than 90% of HPV infections can be naturally cleared by the body within 2 years.
High-risk HPV + recurrent infections are risk factors for cervical cancer. In this case, the doctor will do further screening according to the situation, and "positive" itself does not mean anything.

02: Cervical erosion
At present, it is medically believed that "cervical erosion" is not a disease, and the mainland gynecology textbook has also canceled the name of this disease and changed it to "cervical columnar epithelial ectopy".
Most of the so-called "erosions" are just affected by hormone levels, and there are changes in the appearance of the cervix, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. Hormone levels improve when they stabilize and do not require additional treatment.

03: Sinus arrhythmia
A person's normal heart rhythm is called "sinus rhythm". Sinus arrhythmia is also a very common physiological phenomenon, most common in children and adolescents, and not uncommon in adults.
It may be related to the rhythm of your breathing, with a fast heart rate when you inhale and a slow heart rate when you exhale; It may also be related to your emotions during the ECG, if you are extremely nervous and excited, your heart rate may be uneven. In short, most of the time, it is normal.

04: Uterine fibroids
According to statistics, about 20% of women over the age of 30 have uterine fibroids, but it generally has no or few symptoms, so the clinically reported incidence is less than the actual situation.
Of these, more than 99% are benign. If you don't have symptoms, you don't need treatment. Surgery should only be considered after symptoms such as heavy menstruation, anemia, severe abdominal pain, urgency, and frequent urination.

05: Breast hyperplasia
The "breast hyperplasia" written on the physical examination form is a normal physiological phenomenon caused by emotional and hormonal changes, and it will not become cancerous and does not need to be treated. (Don't worry, if there is really a problem, the doctor will definitely not let you go)
If there are obvious uncomfortable symptoms, it is generally recommended to improve them by using medications, adjusting lifestyle, and conducting psychological counseling. Massage, applying essential oils and other methods not only cannot "press" the hyperplasia, but also affect the health of the breasts, so it is not recommended.

06: Pelvic effusion
In the pelvic cavity and abdominal cavity, the peritoneum, omentum, and intestinal tube will secrete some fluid, which plays a role in lubrication and protection. "Pelvic effusion" is only a description of these fluids on imaging and is not a disease.
In general, it's normal for pelvic fluid to be less than 3 centimeters. Slightly more than 3 cm during menstruation and ovulation, so there is no need to worry if you don't notice any other abnormalities.

07: Chronic superficial gastritis
The stomach of an adult is somewhat inflamed. Chronic superficial gastritis, also known as "chronic non-atrophic gastritis", is the mildest symptom and disease of chronic gastritis. If you have had a gastroscopy, there is a high probability that you have seen these words on the report card.
It is not very serious and does not increase the risk of stomach cancer and does not require special treatment. It is important to note that the cause behind many gastritis is Helicobacter pylori, and if the test finds Helicobacter pylori infection, treatment is recommended.

08: Thyroid nodules
Thyroid nodules are the most common thyroid anomaly, occurring in almost 1 in 5 people in mainland China.
However, 95% of thyroid nodules are benign, just like a mole on our skin, which does not affect health, and only needs to go to the hospital regularly for color ultrasound. If it is a malignant nodule, surgery needs to be considered based on your doctor's recommendation.

09: Hepatic hemangioma
Hepatic hemangioma is a relatively common benign tumor of the liver, which is usually asymptomatic and is usually discovered incidentally during a physical examination. Asymptomatic and slow-growing hepatic hemangiomas < 5 cm in diameter do not require specific treatment and regular follow-up is sufficient.
It should be noted that there is also a disease called "hepatic angiosarcoma". Although it is only a word difference, it is a malignant tumor and the disease progresses rapidly. Treatment should be done as soon as possible.

10: Bone spurs
Don't be afraid, it's not a thorn in your bone.
With the increase of age or the wrong pattern of force, the joint is compressed and worn for a long time, and the human body will grow "new bones", that is, bone spurs, in order to maintain the stability of the joints. In this way, bone spurs are actually a kind of protection for the body.
There is no need to be nervous if a bone spur appears, it is not a disease in itself, and if it does not cause symptoms, it generally does not need to be corrected.
