The winners of the three major mathematics awards of Hua Luogeng Award, Chen Shengsheng Award and Zhong Jiaqing Award were announced at the meeting, and the awards were presented on the spot.
Professor Fan Huijun of Peking University, Professor Ma Xiaonan of the University of Paris, Field Researcher of the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Yang Tong of the City University of Hong Kong were invited to give conference reports, and more than 100 mathematicians made group reports in 10 fields such as algebra and number theory, geometry and topology, ordinary microdynamic systems, partial differential equations, real analysis and complex analysis, computational mathematics, probability and statistics, operations research and control, combinatorial and computer mathematics, and mathematics education. The meeting also invited Tian Gang, chairman of the Chinese Mathematical Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Academician Yuan Yaxiang, vice chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, to make a science popularization report at the Kunming District Middle School.
At the meeting, Academician Tian Gang read out the winners of the three major mathematics awards on behalf of the Hua Luogeng Mathematics Award Evaluation Committee, the Chen Shengsheng Mathematics Award Evaluation Committee, and the Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Award Awards Committee.
The "Hua Luogeng Mathematics Prize" is jointly established by the Chinese Mathematical Society and Hunan Education Publishing House, and is selected every two years to reward Chinese mathematicians who have made outstanding academic achievements in the field of mathematics. In this selection, Academician Chen Shuxing of Fudan University and Professor Wang Silei of Zhejiang University won the 15th Hua Luogeng Mathematics Award of the Chinese Mathematical Society.
It is understood that Professor Huang Wen, a field researcher at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, won the 18th Chinese Mathematical Society Chen Shengsheng Mathematics Award. The "Chan ShengShen Mathematics Prize" is initiated and donated by Hong Kong ELITE Industrial Development Group Co., Ltd., which is enthusiastic about the development of Science and Education in China, to reward young and middle-aged mathematicians in China who have made outstanding achievements in the field of mathematics.
Dr. Cao Peigen of Zhejiang University, Hebrew University, Dr. Chen Hongge of Wuhan University, Dr. Cui Suping of Qinghai Normal University, and Dr. Bin Gao of french-speaking University of Leuven in Belgium won the 15th Chinese Mathematical Society Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Prize. The "Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Award" of the Chinese Mathematical Society recognizes and rewards the best doctoral students majoring in mathematics, and encourages more young scholars to dedicate themselves to the cause of mathematics.
During the meeting, an enlarged meeting of the Party Committee of the Chinese Mathematical Society, a meeting of the chairman and vice chairman and secretary general, a meeting of the standing council, a meeting of the board of directors and a meeting of the board of supervisors will be held. The conference will also hold a series of forums and satellite conferences - the Forum on the Dissemination of Mathematical Culture, the Western Scholars Forum, the Medical Mathematics Satellite Conference, and the Combinatorial Graph Theory Satellite Conference.
The convening of this conference is of great significance for promoting the development of mathematical science in Yunnan Province, the cultivation of mathematical science talents, and the construction and development of mathematical disciplines in Yunnan University.
