On the morning of August 7, on the construction site of the Guanghua Intercity Railway, the builders of the 11th Bureau of China Railway assembled the "Yangcheng" super-large diameter shield machine under high temperatures.
It is reported that the maximum excavation diameter of the shield machine is 13.56 meters, the total weight is 3,350 tons, and the assembly of 5 working trolleys and 7 shield blocks has been completed. After the installation of the last shield block is completed, it will enter the stage of shield cutterhead installation and commissioning of the whole machine. The shield machine will be responsible for the construction of the intercity from Guangzhou east to Huadu Tiangui.
