Recently, the reporter saw at the site of the supporting facilities construction project of the modern agricultural demonstration base located in the reservoir community of Shuitang Town, Xinping County, that many new production facilities and equipment were distributed in the rock sugar orange forest. As far as the eye can see, the orange orchards are lush and green, and the trees are full of fruits, and a good harvest is in sight. It is understood that after the completion of the project, the planting management of rock sugar oranges in the base will achieve a certain degree of digitalization and intelligence, and it is expected that the annual output value per mu can increase by more than 6,000 yuan.
Ground temperature, radiation, photosynthesis, evaporation, humidity, wind speed...... In a corner of the base, microclimate meteorological monitoring equipment monitors and displays various climatic parameters in real time. "In addition to meteorological monitoring, the base is also equipped with equipment to monitor soil moisture and insect conditions, and the real-time monitoring data of these equipment provides a key basis for the town to release relevant early warning information and carry out unified control of citrus diseases and pests." Liu Gaocong, chairman of the People's Congress of Shuitang Town, who is in charge of the project, said.
Halfway up the slope of the site, a newly erected transport monorail connects a 36-acre orange field. "This piece of land is steep, and the benefits brought by the track are obvious, and the workers had to be hired to carry fertilizer and fruit before, which was time-consuming, laborious and costly. In the future, fertilizers and fruits can be transported by machines, such as during the fruit picking season, only the workers need to be paid for picking fruits, and there is no need to spend more money on carrying fruits. Orange farmer Aufuyi, who is pruning branches in the field, said.
There is another erected track on the other side of the base. "There is no problem at all with the monorail transporter pulling 300-400 kilograms." Said one worker. Workers operated the transport vehicle along the track to the depths of the orange orchard for more than 100 meters, and along the way, the branches and leaves and fruits hit head-on, but the transport truck was stable.

On a machine farming road at the base, a commercial concrete truck is parked at the entrance of an orange field, and a worker operates a device to unload the concrete in the tank onto the trolleys. At the end of the dirt road in the orange field, a steady stream of wheelbarrows haul concrete to dump later, and several workers flatten it. Li Yunfu, a worker from Labo Village, Shuitang Township, said: "This 'farm road' used to be a dirt road, but now it is hardened with cement, so the road is easier to walk and it is more convenient for fruit farmers to work." Like Li Yunfu, the construction of the project has driven more than 200 people from the surrounding villages to work here, with an average income increase of more than 6,000 yuan per capita.
It is understood that the project has invested a total of 1.9 million yuan, and the construction content includes a new 1,000 cubic meter and two 200 cubic meter reservoirs and water, fertilizer and medicine integrated pressurized distribution pools, pesticide packaging waste collection pools in the base covering an area of 560 acres, laying 6,000 meters of galvanized steel pipes, erecting 725 meters of monorail fruit transportation tracks, hardening 1,500 meters of production roads, installing 1 set of microclimate meteorological monitoring, soil moisture monitoring, insect monitoring equipment and seedling intelligent remote monitoring system, and installing 40 sets of solar insecticidal lamps. The commissioning of the project has provided strong support for improving the production capacity and modernization level of the base.
