I've tried it for everyone, and I want to get rid of the emptiness after retirement: two ways!

In the morning, I was reading a book when I received a call from the senior magazine, saying that one of my articles had been published by the senior magazine, and the relevant journal and manuscript fee had been sent by postal courier.

Since I have been writing since I retired, I have always received these kinds of surprises, and it is because of these surprises that my retirement life is full of anticipation and fun.

In my daily life, I find that many people feel that their lives are empty, boring and meaningless after retirement.

In fact, as long as you do two things well, your feelings about life will become completely different.

One is to keep yourself busy

Since I retired, many young people around me have envied me, saying that I am now living a rich and idle life, just like a fairy.

I can understand how young people feel, they are busy, stressed, and desperate to have their own free time.

But being too idle is not a good thing, but a disaster. There are many examples of people around me who have aged rapidly in just half a year after retirement.

For this reason, a year or two before I retire, I started planning for my life after retirement.

My current retirement life: mainly self-media, accompanying the elderly, living abroad, learning photography, participating in offline salons, experiencing pastoral life, etc.

When I retired, I felt busier than when I went to work.

In the midst of my hustle, I experienced a sense of control over my life and felt happier than before.

Although I often encountered difficulties and setbacks in the process, I chose to make myself strong in the process of constantly overcoming difficulties.

In my opinion, once people are busy, their negative emotions are much reduced, and they no longer wonder what the meaning of life is.

Being busy with the things you love is meaning in itself.

I've tried it for everyone, and I want to get rid of the emptiness after retirement: two ways!

The second is to let yourself go out

I often come into contact with some retirees and find that some people have become functionally illiterate after staying at home for a long time.

Functional illiteracy refers to a person who can read and write, but cannot accept any views beyond his cognition, and thinks that anything that is inconsistent with his own views is wrong.

Such people have strained relationships with friends and loved ones, and they are often in negative emotions.

If you want to get out of this state, you have to jump out of the inherent circle, experience different lives, and communicate and learn from people from different backgrounds.

When you see enough things, you will realize what the real world is like, and you can look at yourself again, look at others, and look at your relationship with others.

Only then can we become more compassionate and tolerant, and the whole person can become broader.

After I retired, I was worried about being in a small circle for a long time, and forced myself to go out of the house often to meet different people and see different worlds.

When I do this, I find that my mindset becomes more positive and I see things more holistically.

Kazuo Inamori said:

"You have to go out, you have to socialize, you have to experience different things, you have to see all kinds of people, your brain can think, you have to feel that you are alive.

No matter what you do when you go out, even if you sit in a café, the consequence of staying at home for a long time is the loss of spirituality. ”

Personally, I think that after retirement, it is important to be curious and exploratory, which will make us proactive and not easily disconnected from society.

In this way, we can handle any relationship with ease, including the relationship around us.

I've tried it for everyone, and I want to get rid of the emptiness after retirement: two ways!

These are my two thoughts on retirement.

In my opinion, retirement is not the end of the workplace, but a new beginning of life;

It is not the end of life, but the transition of life.

Here, I also wish you and me in front of the mobile phone can find your own life after retirement and live a wonderful life of your own.
