Blizzard's Diablo 4 is a representative work of the APPG genre, where in addition to the vast world waiting for players to explore, the thirst for equipment is also the core motivation for everyone to continue to experience the game. The value of some top-of-the-line equipment can even reach immeasurable levels.
For a long time, the Dark Gold Hat was considered the rarest piece of equipment in Diablo 4. In last year's update to version 1.0.4, the issue of Hellmania chests starting to drop rare dark gold equipment was urgently nerfed by the officials as soon as it appeared.
But in reality, the military hat is not the rarest piece of equipment in the game. By unpacking the data of Diablo 4, some players have recently discovered the existence of the special equipment "Ring of Misfortune". Sowhatsthecatch, a netizen on the Reddit forum on the Internet, shared how to obtain this equipment, which immediately sparked strong onlookers from players.
As an ARPG with a lot of content, the developers have added various hidden content to the Diablo series. Players can only unravel the mystery if they meet certain conditions under certain circumstances, including the decade-old "Cow Pass".
The "Ring of Misfortune" is one such piece of hidden equipment, and in order to unlock it, the following conditions must be met:
- The team must consist of five different classes
- All party members have the Altar of Greed buff
- Rummaging through the corpses of NPCs that have been slaughtered by monsters has a chance to drop "Lucky Coins"
- Take your lucky coins to the Wishing Well in the east of Seriga (Skosglen region) and drop your "Lucky Coins" into it
Once the above ritual is completed, an animation will be triggered. This way, all players present will be able to obtain this special piece of dark gold equipment, the "Ring of Misfortune".
This ring gives the wearer a stat bonus of +13 all primary stats, +13 armor, thorn damage, maximum health and health regeneration per second, and +13% all elemental resistances, which is really nothing in terms of equipment stats alone. However, the "Ring of Misfortune" debuff should not be overlooked.
- Up to 100% chance to lose all resources.
As stated in the equipment introduction of the "Ring of Misfortune", "It looks like an ordinary ring, but wearing it makes you fearful." Due to the limited stat bonuses provided, the negative effects are unbearable. The dark gold equipment of the "Ring of Misfortune" is quite frivolous.
Prior to this, the only negative return dark gold ring "Starry Sky Ring" only applied a debuff to the player to "reduce the consumption of your core skill resources by 40%".
As a piece of equipment, the "Ring of Misfortune" is clearly not qualified. It is not yet known whether the official will launch the corresponding mission content in the future, or use it as some kind of prop. If there is no further expansion in the subsequent version, I am afraid that no one will want to equip such a ring with negative returns.
So what do you think of this special dark gold equipment?
